Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

This sequel movie was directed by Shawn Levy. It stars Ben Stiller (Larry Daley), Robin Williams (Teddy Roosevelt), Amy Adams (Amelia Earhart), Owen Wilson ( Jedediah Smith), Hank Azaria (The Thinker, Abe Lincoln, Kahmunrah) and others. So this is the sequel in my opinion from the also really awesome Night at the Museum movie from 2006. In this sequel story the great Larry Daley is forced to go to the Smithsonian to rescue his friends from their circumstance of being moved out of the Museum of Natural History in New York. I got to say here what a movie and by that I mean this is the stuff I think you will probably only really imagine and see from Hollywood in someway. I also have to say I think this is a nice movie for someone to see in any movie mood as it has comedy, a little romance, adventure, action and more. Although I expected it to be hard to live up to the first movie I think it did fine mostly for the reason that I just truly found it once again really entertaining to watch a new barrel of fun characters in the movie in a ginormous museum come to life and have to deal with each other. I think this sequel was written well for a story and I think you will have trouble finding a dull moment from history if you go see this picture even if you did not get an A in every single history class like me. So as you can tell I don't have really any complaints about this movie and I think it is a good pick and suggestion if your are looking for something good playing right about now. Fast and the Furious

This movie is directed by Justin Lin and stars Paul Walker (Brian O'Connor), Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto) and others. This week at my local theater it was either the Fast and the Furious or Miley Cyrus, so I thought that it was cool that there was a balance of teenybopper, family fun and a little more action, adventure. Anyways this movie is basically about O'Connor and Dominic Torettor teaming up to stop a powerful drug importer by infiltrating him and his operations. I saw this fourth movie of the Fast and the Furious looking to be entertained and that's what I got. In other words there surely were car explosions, edge of your seat danger, fights, and criminal battles, which held my attention. However I don't think this movie maintained many levels of intelligent behavior among the tough guy characters. It kind of reminded me of watching a wild cowboy movie come to think of it; of course with more actual mechanical muscle then horsepower, but I think if you are looking for Hollywood action jammed packed into some kind of almost mission impossible, die hard way about it then this is a good pick.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

This action, sci-fi, fantasy, thriller movie was directed by Gavin Hood and stars, Hugh Jackman (Logan/Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Victor Creed/Sabretooth), Lynn Collins (Kayla Silverfox) and others. The story is about Wolverines origin and his seeking revenge against his brother Victor Creed and eventually Wolverine goes through the mutant Weapon X Program. I think as far as Marvel stories go all the regular elements were there like action, romance, drama. I found the movie to be interesting because the way the characters came together and apart and the story had some points that were highly dramatic I found. But anyhow I don't think there is really much to say wrongly for this movie and what I expected it would attempt to achieve; so perhaps I will just say that this movie has got a whole a lot of action and important elements to the X-Men series so I believe it is a descent pick if this is what you are craving. And I bet it is even already a must see if you enjoyed the past Hollywood made X-Men movies.
