3:10 to Yuma

3:10 to Yuma was directed by James Mangold and is an action, drama western movie. The movie stars Russell Crowe (Ben Wade), Christian Bale (Dan Evans), Logan Lerman (William Evans), Peter Fonda (Byron McElroy), Ben Foster (Charlie Prince) and others. The plot of the movie is that the poor rancher Dan Evans agrees to transport the outlaw Ben Wade on a train leaving at 3:10 to Yuma to go to a Federal court for many of his crimes as Wades outlaw followers come to save him. The movie unfolds itself and it was important to follow the story unlike a movie like dumb and dumber because of the many different conflicts occuring among the characters. I thought that Russell Crowe was good casting for the role as the bad guy who you try to like sometimes. It was not really a happy movie because of all the anger among the characters, but I think it was different then a typical hollywood plot, which was kind of cool because how the characters in the story go up against each other. I thought this movie was not so bad although some parts kind of leave you hanging. So in good old cowboy terms you might just want to skip the rodeo and perhaps maybe have a boot scooting, take the rag off, seven by nine, stretchin the blanket, rip roaring, jo-fired, cap the climax and cotton to type of time and see the movie oh and popcorn and soda is always nice as well.

Michael Clayton

Michael Clayton was a drama and thriller directed by Tony Gilroy and stars, George Clooney (Michael Clayton), Tom Wilkinson (Arthur Edens), Sydney Pollack (Marty Bach), Tilda Swinton (Karen Crowder) and others. The movie is about a lawyer Michael Clayton trying to help a friend Arthur Edens who is struggling with a case while dealing with a corrupt business that they are both trying to take on. The movie does not have many scenes of action at all but the plot becomes intense and dramatic by the end. It was kind of a complicated story to follow and it is one of those movies that goes back in time to tell more of a story. But anyways I think that it was one of George Clooneys best acting jobs. The movie kind of reminded me of something like The Rainmaker. I think it went on a little long and could have been told without all the scenes it had but I think overall it was not a bad movie to go see because of the drama and twists in the story.

Good Luck Chuck

Good Luck Chuck was a comedy and romance movie. The movie stars Dane Cook (Charlie), Dan Fogler (Stu), Jessica Alba (Cam), Ellia English (Reba) and others. The movie is about Chuck who has a rumor sent out about him that if women sleep with him that the next guy they find will be the right guy for them. The movie mostly consisted of some sexual humor and some of it was probably borderline perverted. But anyhow if you like movies like American Pie or Superbad you might find this movie funny and pretty good, otherwise though I thought it was to silly a plot and not really romantic in nature. So I guess I would say probably more then less Good Luck to Chuck if he makes a sequel.

The Game Plan

The Game Plan stars the WWF wrestler "Dwayne The Rock" Johnson (Joe Kingman), Madison Pettis (Peyton Kelly), Kyra Sedwick (Stella Peck), Roselyn Sanchez (Monique Vasquez) and others. The movie is a comedy, family and sport movie. The plot of the movie is that NFL quarterback Joe Kingman is living a party lifestyle and out of the blue finds he is a father when his daughter shows up at his door which changes his lifestyle. The movie was cute, some what humorous and it does get more dramatic towards the end and I thought it was pretty good. I think The Rock was good for the role because of his popularity today. It was also pretty cool that the movie is a Disney movie and would probably appeal a lot to 300 pound linebackers and the more common Disney audiences.

The Brave One

The Brave One was directed by Neil Jordan and it stars Jodie Foster (Erica Bain), Terrence Howard (Detective Mercer), Nicky Katt (Detective Vitale), Naveen Andrews (David Kirmani), Mary Steenburgen (Carol) and others. This movie was of the crime, drama and thriller genres. I have to say some of Jodi Fosters acting characters are pretty tough from dealing with street thugs to Hannibal Lector but of course she does also do light hearted films as well. Anyhow the movie was a lot like the Death Wish movies with Charles Bronson. This is because the plot of this movie is about the same to Death Wish, were Erica Bain turns into a vigilante after her and her husband are attacked in the city. The movie seemed to have some deep elements of psychology in it were you see alot of emotions throughout the movie from Erica Bain. There was also some highly intense parts of action and drama with the shooting scenes. It was entertaining enough and the story got moving faster as it went, but on the other hand I would also say it was not exactly a real happy movie to see because of the intense drama which some people do actually seem to like.

Balls of Fury

Balls of Fury was directed by Ben Garant and is of the action, comedy, sport, crime genres. The movie stars Dan Fogler (Randy Daytona), Christoper Walken (Feng), George Lopez (Agent Ernie Rodriquez), Maggie Q (Maggie Wong), James Hong (Master Hong) and others. The movie is about Randy Daytona a once upon a time superstar athlete coming back to the sport of ping pong after Agent Rodriquez needs him to play ping pong for a police mission, which in return will also help Randy find the murderer of his father. I thought Dan Fogler was really good for the role of this movie because of his humorous acting. Balls of Fury reminded me mostly of the movie Dodgeball and Balls of Fury was quite funny and it was not a realistic comedy. I thought the movie seemed to get funnier as it went along and I thought it was good for a silly comedy. So I would say like it does on the website that it was pretty much a huge comedy with tiny balls.
