Paul Blart: Mall Cop

This movie is an action, comedy, crime, family movie directed by Steve Carr. It stars Kevin James (Paul Blart), Jayma Mays (Amy), Keir O'Donnell (Veck Sims) and others. The movie is about a mild mannered mall cop Paul Blart becoming a type of front man of the action when a bunch of criminals take over the mall. Theres nothing I can actually thing of bad about this movie for me, as I thought it had a lot of clever comedy like how Paul Blart controls the mall on a segway, which was hilarious at times. I thought it was also a cute story for viewers and for me was probably the funniest work of Kevin James I've seen so far. In this movie Kevin James reminded me a lot of a Chris Farley movie type of character and I thought the Paul Blart character was created well for some nice laughs. So in other words if you are looking for some laughs out there in theaters right now this one I think should be a good choice.

Australia

This movie was an adventure, drama, western, war movie starring Hugh Jackman (Drover), Nicole Kidman (Lady Sarah Ashley), Eddie Baroo (Bull) and others. This movie was directed by Baz Luhrmann and lasted around 3 hours long. Not to give to much away about the details now but this movie Australia is actually about Australia believe it or not. Just kidding around there, but back to business the story takes place in Northern Australia during World War 2. In the story Lady Sarah Ashley inherits a cattle ranch then comes together reluctantly with a stock-man to protect the property from a take over scheme. Lady Sarah Ashley also along with others herd cattle from the ranch across a tough landscape and later in the journey they come upon a Japanese military attack making for quite the drama. The movie had some nice scenery and some interesting action here and there but I would also perhaps call it something like a dramatic, romance novel to watch. This was because it was quite intricate of a story, with what the various characters were trying to accomplish and I though it became quite romantic in a way at times. It also seemed to me to have various parts that almost could have been the ending but were not, instead they were more build ups in a way of drama rolling through the story. Someone I saw the film with said they thought it was trying to be the Australian, Gone With The Wind, which I could see from some angles. So anyhow thought the movie was interesting and I made it through alright enough, but think to really get into it you would want to perhaps be in a intricate drama book, play kind of mode and inspirational type of mood, then I think you are much more likely to fall in love with it. But for me seeing it tonight I think it was bit to much of a story with all the sentiments, but it did still find ways to hook onto my attention with all the details of the story from one scene to the next.

Valkyrie

This drama, history, thriller, war movie was directed by Bryan singer, which stars Tom Cruise (Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg), Kenneth Branagh (Major-General Henning von Tresckow), Bill Nighy (General Friedrich Olbricht) and others. The movie is based on true events of an unfolding situation in one of the plots to assassinate Hitler during World War 2. It is hard to say anything bad much about the making of this movie because it is based on a true story and offered me further understanding into historical matters of world war 2. It was unique from other world war 2 movies I've seen in the past that depicted more up close battlefield dramas against the Nazis. In this picture altogether it showed mostly the situation of Nazis against Nazis, as those in power in the German military attempt to work out their elaborate plan of assassinating Hitler their top nutbar. So I believe you should find this factual war movie interesting, unless of course you are looking for a comedy or something along those lines; but otherwise it seemed to me surely to be a worthy pick out in the theaters or on dvd in a few months.
