The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This movie was directed by David Fincher, starring Brad Bitt (Benjamin Button), Julia Ormond (Caroline), Cate Blanchett (Daisy) and other good movie stars. This movie is a drama, fantasy, romance, mystery, about a man Benjamin Button who is born old and ages in a reverse fashion for his whole interesting life. As you probably heard this movie sounds like it is going to be a big part of the movie award shows this year around. This movie it seemed to me was trying to be dramatic for sure and it did a good job with that. It was kind of sad, but I also think that it depends upon which part of the movie you’re looking at, because the story is about one whole lifetime of Benjamin Button, so you’re bound to see a lot of emotions. It was interesting for me remembering a teacher of mine used to pose this question in the class and it was hard to picture altogether. But now it seems Hollywood has a way with this story to answer certain things about the question what if your life was lived backwards. So thought it was a good movie from being curious of what was going to happen to Mr. Button the whole time in his curious type of life. Also if you like far out stories like this one then I think you should go see it. I believe it’s a good ticket purchase because it kept me on the edge of my seat, won a bunch of awards; good acting was involved in it and it made me think a bit more about life from some more different angles afterwards.

Bedtime Stories

This movie was a comedy, family, fantasy, directed by Adam Shankman. It stars Adam Sandler (Skeeter Bronson), Courtney Cox (Wendy), Keri Russell (Jill) and others and I actually think one of the coolest characters in the story was the guinea pig, that did a lot of funny stuff. So congrats to the guinea pig and other guinea pigs around the world. I would give this one a oscar for the most humorous act by a guinea pig if I could. But anyhow the movie is about a hotel handyman, who goes through some life changing experiences, once finding bedtime stories told to his niece and nephew have the power of coming true. I'm pretty sure kids will certainly like this movie because it is quite an exciting story, that's creative, funny and included some cool special effect type of scenes. Also would bet that if you are into fantasy, fairy tale stories and need some humor then this probably is your movie for sure. For me this movie lived up to other Sandler movies, so if you liked any other Sandler films I think this movie has a good chance of being a enjoyable one to check out.

Tale of Despereaux

This animation, comedy, adventure, family, fantasy movie was directed by Sam Fell and Robert Stevenhagen. The movie had some big name voices in the animated characters like Matthew Broderick (Despereaux), Dustin Hoffman (Roscuro), Emma Watson (Princess Pea) and more. The movie is about the story of three unlikely heroes, a book reading mouse, a rat who leaves the darkness of the dungeon and a princess want a be, whose story intertwines with the real princess. The truth is I went to see the movie because the Mouse with the Alfred E. Newman appearing ears looked pretty funny, but I did not really follow many previews much beforehand. But anyhow I found this movie to be more serious then funny and with a plot that desired to be complex by having many characters with more then one that seemed to be the main character at different parts and an interesting ending. So I guess I'm saying you might have to follow a little more closely here with the plot then some other animation movies like Toy Story. But anyways suppose there was nothing really wrong with the plot and story I just think it was more complicated and less funny then expected, which is fine. But I think perhaps some kids might want to know it did not seem at all the most lighthearted animation movie made yet by the end, but I think it was still interesting enough to go see in theaters.

Twilight

This movie is directed by Catherine Hardwicke and is a drama, fantasy, romance, thriller. The movie has some relatively fresh actors and actresses, which I thought was cool. At least comparably new names to other Hollywood people from what I've seen in the many movies watched in the past by me, although I guess I do not really watch a lot of television shows. But anyhow it seemed to me the actors and actresses on the whole really looked great for the roles they had. In my opinion I happened to think the two best looking actors for their parts was Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen-the main character vampire) and the vampire father figure-Dr. Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli). Anyhow back to the big point of this blog here, the story was about the main character Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) a regular mortal teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire. Then once the relationship is started the rest of the story is about the mysterious lifestyle of the vampire and risks that come along from the relationship they try to keep. So I'm quite glad to have finally seen this movie because it seemed a lot of people were talking about it lately. I even heard that more and more vampires were showing up on dating websites just because of this movie, no just kidding, at least I hope I'm kidding. It's also good to know that monster characters in the world are getting more of some kind of lady man status here, so in regards to being a stud horse guess it's not always in the movies about being something like a professional athlete or billionaire in every case. Okay one last joke I have a feeling there might be another movie from watching this one and if there are other books out there I'm sure there will be another; So in the case of another movie I say lets hope if there are a lot of weddings between many vampires and humans I think it is only fair to get Herman Munster, Frankenstein, and Wolf Man invitations and blind human dates to this happening wedding party as well. Okay enough kidding around, I had thought the movie was decently good enough. It was definitely romantic and I bet if your a person who talks a lot about unique topics in a relationship, as far out as Twilight related fiction, then it should hit the spot greatly for a romantic movie of the night. This would actually be my kind of date movie. But I'm glad to have now seen the movie tonight even if it seemed a tad corny in a couple parts, but not really any much more then a lot of other related movies. But overall it seemed to me it had all the elements of a good movie, action, romance, dabs of comedy here and there, a unique story, so I thought it came together and held your attention well. I also recommend seeing this movie because I think it might just turn into the next big book movie like Harry Potter. I also think it is not a bad idea to see the first movie in a series and that in this case of a movie on the whole was pretty neat.
