Disaster Movie

This movie was directed by Jason Friedburg and Aaron Seltzer. The movie is a comedy starring Matt Lantern (Will), Vanessa Minnillo (Amy), G. Thang (Calvin) and others. The movie is a spoof of various movies of mostly recent times as far as I could tell, as a bunch of goofy characters go through a natural and a catastrophic disaster together. I am probably a more easy going reviewer on this blog about watching Hollywood entertainment at its best and worst then others out there but just to let you know this is the first movie I have seen on IMBD with a rating of 1.3 out of ten and on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of zippo, so I guess some movie reviewers seemed to think they could, should and would only call the movie by the title it was given. I myself would not be keeping this movie in a collection on my shelf and found it basically to be similar to watching a bunch of silly things on YouTube that I found to be really funny only once in a while. I found myself being curious as to what movies were going to be spoofed next because there was quite a few. But anyhow this movie holds not much of point really, it is just silly. I would not think of it as my favorite spoofer flick, but I think if you are ready to just see some outrageous stuff, an effortless story to follow in having a real sensible point, that sometimes was pretty funny and you think you might stay at your house on YouTube watching outrageous occasionally pretty funny things you might be able to tolerate this movie.

Death Race

This movie was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and is an action, adventure, sci fi, thriller movie. The movie stars Jason Statham (Jensen Ames), Joan Allen (Hennessey), Tyrese Gibson (Machine Gun Joe) and others. The movie is about Jensen who becomes a prisoner and finds the warden is pushing him to be in a car race to the death among other prisoners. The movie was pretty good, it was filled with a lot of action and I suppose the story line was perhaps kind of silly in some ways but there were was never really a dull moment. It was definitely action packed as much as most other action movies, such as being as action packed as something like Die Hard, which I think certainly had serious action in it like the scene when an F-16 was firing on John McClane. Anyhow back to this movie which actually had a few lines of humor more so then I have seen in other Statham movies, which was cool but I would not by any means call it a comedy. So to cut to my big thought here I think if you are looking for an action film and can handle a slice of demolition derby, meets monsters wheels, meets the twisted metal car video game, meets rush hour, meets all out chaos somehow and so forth then you might want to see this movie which I would say was pretty good.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

This movie was directed by Eric Brevig and is an action, adventure, fantasy, family, sci fi, thriller movie. It stars Brendan Fraser (Professor Trevor Anderson), Josh Hutcherson (Sean Anderson), Anita Briem (Hanna Asgeirsson) and others. The movie is about the Professor on a mission to find what happened to his brother as the Proffesor goes along with his nephew, which leads them to a journey to the center of the earth. I saw the movie mostly because it was in 3-D and although I found the last 3-D movie u2 in 3-D the concert to have far better effects this was still pretty cool. There was nothing I can really say bad about the movie it was a fun adventure to the center of the earth with things you might not expect and in some ways the movie was education orientated because the characters find interesting matter on their journey. The movie was not that different then an exciting adventure story like Jurassic Park or National Treasure. So anyhow I will lastly say that yeah I mostly made my journey to this movie because it was in 3D and I think if you are into a Hollywood adventure story with all sorts of nature sci fi scenes to the center of in this movie the fictional big bad earth on the big screen this movie would be a good pick.
