Wall-E

This animation, comedy, family, romance movie was directed by Andrew Stanton and stars the voices of Ben Burt (Walle-E M-O), Elissa Knight (Eve), Jeff Garlin (Captain) and others. The movie is about Wall-E who lives in the year 2700 and comes to find out what the job that Wall-E does is all about. The movie was interesting and actually I think in someways is connected to possible realities and I think the movie being animation made some of the possible realities less dramatic. But anyhow the movie was fun, likable and dynamic with the futuristic perspective. It also was a romance movie but between computer type beings so I am not sure if you can call that a chick flick but I am sure chicks will still think that is cute. So anyhow I don't think you can go wrong seeing this movie unless you don't want to see a real sci fi plot or animation movie went at the theaters.

Get Smart

This movie was directed by Peter Segal and stars Steve Carell (Maxwell Smart), Anne Hathaway (Agent 99), Dwayne Johnson (Agent 23) and others. The movie is full of action, comedy and crime. The movie is about Maxwell Smart from the CONTROL agency who goes up against the forces from the KAOS group with the more experienced agent 99 at his side. The movie seemed to get funnier as it went along and Maxwell developed his goofiness more and more further along in the story. The plot also gets quite intricate since of course the bad guys have there advanced plans of destruction. But anyhow I enjoyed every scene wondering what kind of goof Agent Smart was going to get into next, so I would recommend this movie to every comedy buff.

The Love Guru

Since I review movies on a blog while watching this picture I made sure I was interconnected with the mind-body, universe-nature relationship for quantum balance. So in other words this means I found the most comfortable looking seat in the theater and ordered a deal on the popcorn. Oh and if I was reading this out loud I would have said the first sentence in the indian love guru voice just so you know. But anyhow all kidding aside The Love Guru is directed by Marco Schnabel and stars Mike Myers (Guru Pitka), Justin Timberlake (Jacques Grande), Jessica Alba (Jane Bullard) and others. The movie is about the Guru Pitka an American who was born in India and raised by gurus. The Love Guru Pitka moves back to the USA to do self help and fix a hockey player who has romantic problems with a rival athlete who stole the women he likes. The parts I thought were most funny were with the Coach Punch Cherkov AKA Mini-Me, reporters and elephants and some of the scenes with the Guru Pitka. The comedy seemed a little tacky, a little weak at times and the ending did not blow me away. But I would also say that although I think I have seen funnier movies this movie was entertaining with the satirical Guru Pitka Scenes and humor here and there that it is worth the movie ticket.

The Incredible Hulk

Do not try to eat 10 whoopee pies and turn green like the Hulk it does not have it's intended effect. Just kidding I did not try that and wouldn't recommend it. But I might recommend seeing the new Hulk movie and some of the following is why. I thought this movie was better then the first. This Hulks stars Edward Norton (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Liv Tyler (Betty Ross), Tim Roth (Emil Blonsky) and others. The movie is about Bruce Banner trying to control the genetic substance that allows him to become the Hulk from a soldier who wants to use the genetic hulk powers for destruction. The movie is an action, fantasy and sci fi movie that has some intense scenes showing the power of the Hulk on screen. If you are a Hulk follower I think this movie is a must see because the ending is interesting and because I think it was Hulk drama at its best were you have another person trying to get control of the Hulks abilities. Also because the movie leaves you hanging to certain degrees which makes me think there will be an interesting sequel to this Incredible Hulk. It was not my favorite superhero movie because I am not so crazy about the Hulk character compared to others but I think the scenes, dramatic story and special effects are worth seeing if you are ready for some serious action.

Kung Fu Panda

This movie was directed by Mark Osborne and Josh Stevenson and is an animation, action, comedy and family movie that kicks butt. The movie stars the voices of Jack Black (Po), Dustin Hoffman (Shifu), Angelina Jolie (Tigress), Jackie Chan (Monkey) and many other famous actor and actress voices. But anyhow the movie is about Po a character who seems to be unorthodox to everyone because of his weight and skills but he is chosen to protect the Valley of Peace against Tai Lung. I certainly liked the wise turtle leader and Po's father, which was some kind of bird. I enjoyed the movie it was funny and most of the characters were likable. So if you are in the mood for a more funny fictional lighthearted motion picture then the more common Hollywood stuff I say go seeKung Fu Panda.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan

This movie was an interestingly styled coiffure of a movie that made enough silky and clean as Zohan would tell. The movie stars Adam Sandler (Zohan), John Turturro (The Phantom), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Dalia) and others. The movie is a comedy and action story. Is it is about the Mossad agent Zohan who fakes his own death to go to America and style hair to follow his dream. The movie brought to mind to me Borat and any kind of spoof movie were the action is obviously phony to the audience and creators of the film. It was definitely silly and stupid in it's own right but this is what pumped comedy into the movie. There was also a lot of good and bad guys through the film so the plot had many things occurring. But anyhow some of the comedy was a little sketchy talking about terrorism, sex and politics but it stilled has some really funny moments although there was not a great amount of good one liners. Anyhow there is not to much I can say bad about this movie because I knew it was going to be silly. Overall I would pretty much say that it seemed to me Zohan was pretty funny, silly and also a nice escape from things in life that are not really funny.
