This movie was directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock), Jude Law (Dr. John Watson), and others. In this action, adventure, crime sequel with Downey he and his team are trying to bring down an evil professor with intentions that are catastrophic in nature! Well I think the strength of this movie is the quirky characters at hand and the next crazy thing they do. I think the movie might not have been as good as the first but still a really good movie here. So yeah you should go see this movie as I think it will be a fun experience for you and make sure to don your top hat, sketch pad, glasses, magic cane, that's what I did, no just playing, but if you want to I won't laugh I promise! The Tower Heist

This action, comedy, crime movie was directed by Brett Ratner and stars Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and others. The story is about a group of guys who are victims of a ponzie scheme and so of course they decide to rob their robber and his fancy apartment building in New York City. Well anyone who was ripped off by Bernie Madoff probably were feeling these guys pain and would probably like to wreak hell for him in his penthouse to if he had one, just saying sometimes Hollywood is not to much stranger then fiction! Anyhow the movie was fun to watch because some of the characters were just that characters and a little crazy at times, actually change that very crazy often! There also were some really wild and out there scenes that made this movie enjoyable, such as the scene when they are going through with their great caper during the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade! Anyhow I don't believe the movie was as funny as perhaps every single one of Stiller's great comedies; Stiller who was the main character it seemed, but in my opinion it is still surely great enough to recommend because it had all the elements of a really decent comedy!

The Muppets

This movie stars Jason Segel (Gary), Amy Adams (Mary), the Muppet cast of course and other actors. This comedy, family, musical directed by James Bobin is about the Muppet's attempting to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon guy. Well I have to say what a great movie this was, very funny and amusing on all sorts of levels. I mean who does not like these little talking munchkins. I think that this a must see for any kid and anyone like myself who really had enjoyed these legendary Jim Henson characters!

Smurfs

This animation, adventure, comedy was directed by Raja Gosnell and stars Hank Azaria (Gargamel), Neil Patrick Harris (Patrick Winslow) and others. The story is about the highly screwed up and mean spell casting Gargamel who is after the smurf characters. Not to worry as I am sure the tale will not make you feel tiny or blue as it is cute and full of happiness at many moments. Any who I am not sure if Gargamel crosses over into more just weird or funny, but oh well whatever! I would not say it was the most hilarious film of all time but it had some funny moments and is a cute enough story. I am sure most kids will enjoy it and adults to as you see these little figures take on the big bad world. I would have to give the smurfs an 8 out of 10!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

This movie stars, James Franco (Will Rodman), Frieda Pinto (Caroline Aranha) and others. This action, drama, sci fi is directed by Rupert Wyatt and is about a chimpanzee who is being used to develop the cure for alzheimers and how he uses an advance intellgence he recieves to help find more freedom. I found the movie to be different then the past ones I remember seeing as it gave a detailed account as how Caesar and the monkeys were coming to power over the humans. I thought the drama built upon itself well and so I would have to reccomend this movie as I think Planet of the Apes and non-Planet of the Apes fans will find this movie to be intriguing. It was at times hard to say if I was more on the monkey side or human or the humans that were acting like monkeys and vice a versa or something like that, anyhow I do believe most of you will enjoy this movie and if you don't want to take my word for it I think you should check out our trailer below. Cowboys and Aliens

This action, sci fi, thriller, directed by Jon Favreau stars Harrison Ford (Woodrow Dolarhyde), Daniel Craig (Jake Lonergan) and others. The story is about aliens that have to take over the world primarily for gold and the cowboys and Indians that now stand in their way. Well the movie of course is based on a true story I am sure even John Wayne would have no doubt about that! Just playing as this was probably the least factually based Hollywood movie of the past couple of years, but anyhow it was still kind of exciting to watch all these characters of a sort have a intergalactic western show down type of thing. I believe if you are into cowboy western movies and can handle a hint of fantasy you will enjoy this movie. What I liked the most about was that if you have these two beings battling each other, which I think most people probably would only dream up after they eat some peculiar cheese! So yes because I love the western cowboy genre of film and that this movie pretty much stands alone in its unique eccentric storyline, I would recommend this movie that probably could also be considered a little silly at times. But anyhow partner I would have to give this film a score of being somewhere in the 8 out of ten range!

Fast Five

This action, crime, thriller, stars Paul Walker (Brian O'Connor), Vin Diesel (Dominic Torreto) and others. This movie in the series is about how Brian and Dominic find themselves in between being hunted by a drug lord and a tough federal agent played by The Rock. Well I have to say my favorite part of this movie actually was that when I exited the movie theater there was a bunch of kids parked together driving pimped out Fast and Furious cars looking like characters from the movie! Unfortunately from them though I noticed about a mile up the road some of them were getting pulled over by a police officer, not kidding either! It reminded me of Harry Potter just not magical wizards instead you know souped up V6 engines! Any who back to business with this movie I thought this one was as good as any of them in the series. I thought it also had an interesting, entertaining array of questionable characters from the government, police and car thief people. So yeah I bet it will probably hold your attention somehow and it is filled with some pretty awesome special effects. So I guess I have to ask this question why not go see this movie on a Saturday night if you are interested in seeing some Hollywood craziness it was pretty good! Oh and this is also for the die hard fans of this movie don't get pulled over after leaving the movie in your speedster, probably wouldn't be much of an issue for me one way or the other as I drive a Hyundai Elantra, good car but I ain't bringing it to a street race!

Captain America: The First Avenger

This marvel action, adventure, sci fi is directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers), Tommy Lee Jones (Colonel Chester Phillips) and others. The story is about Steve Rogers who did not make it into the military because of his size and shape, whom is then picked to undergo a top secret experiment that turns him into you guessed it a horrible drunk, no just kidding it does in fact turn him into the very powerful superhero we all know as Captain America. I would have to say it seemed to me that this movie had all the right elements and the right idea, I just thought it could have been a little more captivating in some aspects. So in other words it was a pretty decent movie but I believe it will come out as average among the other movies in it's genre of Marvel superhero! I wonder if they will make a second, anyhow hope you will check out this movies trailer below in case you disagree, because hey I think despite what some movie reviewers think, I believe going to the movies is all about ones own acquired taste! The Help

This drama, directed by Tate Taylor, stars Emma Stone (Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan), Octavia Spencer (Minny Jackson) and others. The story is about an aspiring writer creating a book about some of the oppression that was experienced in the South during the civil rights era in that part of the country. Well the movie was highly regarded and reviewed I know. I myself found this film to be interesting, a little bit funny once and a while, but surely mostly dramatic. I am not to sure why they would rather make a film not based exactly on real facts as a historical account of what was going on during the civil rights movement, just thought that would add a variety of extra content to the movie. Well overall it was a fairly interesting movie and it's good now to see such a movie now when the Southern part of this country has come a long way in relation to civil rights at this point in time and this type of oppression is not occurring as much! I would give this drama an 8 out of 10!

Conan the Barbarian

This action, adventure, fantasy, stars Jason Momoa (Conan), Ron Perlman (Corin) and others. It is directed by Marcus Nispel and is about a warrior Conan on a quest across Hyboria to avenge the murder of his father and the destruction of his village. It funny that the main actors name is Conan as when I hear that name I suppose I now will not only just think of late night television but some man whose all business about ripping men to shreds with his bear pinky finger. Oh boy anyways the story was pretty straightforward the mean antagonists attack the village and Conan seeks his revenge sort of like the movie Braveheart. The special effects were really good but I thought the story was something that was sort of seemed plain as it was rather predictable and not to intricate with the array of characters in the film and the drama they incur. However it was still surely quite entertaining to see this Conan fellow conquer all the evildoers of his world so in my opinion this movie is in the 7 out of 10 range!

Bad Teacher

Directed by Jake Kasdan this movie is a comedy, starring Cameron Diaz (Elizabeth Halsey), Justin Timberlake (Scott Delacorte) and others. The story is about a teacher who probably would rather accept some kind of apple flavored vodka more so then one of those old fashiond freshly picked macintosh's from a student and she is in fact really just quite the bad apple of person! Anyhow no more using the word apple from here out! This amusing teacher and the star of the film finds herself trying to find a new partner after her big money boyfriend leaves; and she soon finds herself looking at possible connections with her collegaue teacher Jason Segel and her other colleague teacher played by Justin Timberblake! I believe you will enjoy starting to see some hope in the main character at random moments she has and having some laughs here and there through out this movie. However I believe the plot of this story was probably not developed over years and years and the humor was kind of B cheese at times, meaning more or less highly raunchy then anything else! But aside from a couple of weaker moments I believe you will find the movie has an entertaining energy to it for viewers; so I do believe you probably will find this movie to be in the 7.5 out of 10 range!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

This final movie in the series directed by David Yates is about Harry Potter and friends looking for the last of the Horcruxes and their final battle to attempt to destroy the very much nasty fellow Voldemort. The movie is an adventure, fantasy, drama that again stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and others. Well I am sure that Harry Potter fans will like this movie by the time it comes to it's ending! The special effects were good and it was quite entertaining! I thought that on the whole it was decent, when you factor in special effects, the relationship between the characters and audience, but on the downside I belief if you have seen yourself a fair share of Hollywood movies like myself you may find the story to be predictable here and there! But altogether seeing that it was the final movie in the series and I think will at least will have highly pleasing results for cult like fans in many aspects, so this movie is recommend by me! I would give it around and eight out of ten for not huge Potter fans like myself and 9.5 for true fans of this wizardy legend known as Harry Potter! Zookeeper

This movie is directed by Frank Coraci and stars Kevin James (Griffin Keyes), Rosario Dawson (Kate) and others. This comedy, family, romance story is all about a group of human speaking zoo animals helping one of their favorite zookeepers make sure he stays employed at the Franklin Park Zoo and they also help him along to try and find his true love on the side. Well I would have to recommend this movie because who does not like talking animals right! Although I am not sure if I would laugh or cry if this happened in real life animals talking that is and it actually might be a mixture of both and there's a great reaction from Griffen in this movie I have to say, when the animals become a little more social with this man. Anyhow the movie had some decent laughs, some amazing scenes like a gorilla in TGI Fridays, awesome, and how often do you see that you know, so just whats not to like here? I would give this movie at least a 9 out of 10 and I think for all of you who live in the Boston area you should go see the now even more famous Franklin park Zoo were it was filmed! Bridesmaids

This comedy, romance form of movie was directed by Paul Feig and stars Maya Rudolph (Lillian), Kristen Wiig (Annie) and others. The story is about Bridesmaids of course that is a given, but these bridesmaids are comical and a hot mess with each other at times among many other things! The plot on one hand is of the humorous bridesmaids whom are attending the one big wedding of Lillian's and on the other hand meanwhile the one bridesmaid Annie is in search of her own romantic soul mate! Well I believe to give you the right impression of this movie I should say it is far from any kind of serious Romeo and Juliet romance story telling, as it reminded me more of something perhaps even as goofy as Me Myself and Irene! Although it was perhaps a little trashy in a few scenes, I found this movie to be hilarious and I think it is really worth while to go see for some good laughs. I would have to say it is definitely in the top 7 funniest movies I have ever seen. So to further sum up my feelings on this one I will just say if you are looking for some nutty humor, with some interesting nutty characters in a wedding that your not sure will turn out to be really nutty then definitely go see this comedy!

Horrible Bosses

Directed by Seth Gordon, Horrible Bosses is a crime comedy, starring Kevin Spacey (Dave Harken), Jason Bateman (Nick Hendricks) and others. The story is about three guys who feel they have had their last straw drawn from their bosses so they come to the conclusion that they should concoct a plan to kill all three of their obnoxious bosses who are you know blank, blankety, blanks! Anyhow the movie was quite hilarious and I think the story is unfortunately something many of us can relate to and perhaps even more then just once to, but don't get any ideas cause I'm sure it's probably not going to be worth 25 to life if you know what I mean! It seemed to me the movie had some moments that were really quite priceless in humor and laugh out loud types of moments! I would surely recommend this movie although the humor was just a bit trashy or B grade at certain points in the film. Anyhow I believe you should most certainly think about seeing this one if your in search of a comedy as this to me was one of the best funny movies I have seen all summer, and I would have to say there have surely been some good comedies out there as well recently!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

This action, adventure, sci fi, movie, directed by Michael Bay, stars Shia LeBeouf (Sam Witwicky), Josh Duhamel (Lennox), and others. The plot in this third version of the Transformers series is that the Decepticons and Autobots are racing to the Earth's moon to obtain a key element of what has been missing in their long lasting ongoing war among themselves. Well no doubt in my mind, I would say this movie was wild and crazy, of course not like college spring break crazy or something, you know with Optimus Prime sitting chilling at a beach having a lot to drink; I mean wild and crazy in a sense that it seemed to me the fate of the world is very much in dire straights off and on, more so then in other former Transformer movies to date. So I am sure you will find the cornea of your eyes widening with excitement quite often! It seemed to me that the Dark of the Moon consists of a lot of superhero egotism and was not quite as amazing as the first one, but albeit all of that I say it is still a must see action movie for the summer time! It was a really good movie I just wished that Michael Bay could make the movie perhaps with a little more intensity like the first one, with a mega caliber of nerve wrenching scenes, such as when the monstrous, highly mysterious Blackout thing lands at the military base and decides to go just a bit Joe Pesci on everyone to say the least! Anyhow all in all Ryan's Little Movie Blog here has to give this movie a eight-ish to 9 out of ten and a 10 out of 10 in the action category so I recommend checking Fandango for it real soon!

Mr. Poppers Penguins

Directed by Mark Waters, this comedy, family, stars Jim Carrey (Mr. Popper), Carla Gugino (Amanda) and others. The story is that Mr. Popper's father leaves in inheritance to him penguins and from there of all place they become residents of Manhattan. And since they used real penguins in this movie don't be to surprised if you see one drinking something and reading the paper on the train if you journey to New York City if they make another one of these, I say this only because believe it or not I heard they used real penguins in the film you know!! Anyhow there was nothing much bad to say about Popper and his penguins, it was a regular Hollywood story of likable characters that you want to get to know and so forth. However I do hope that Jim Carrey jumps back into characters like Loyd Christmas, Charley Baileygates and Pet Detective Ace Ventura as although his movies have been funny lately it seems to me he has not been as outrageous as before; although I am sure living with penguins must be a pretty intense lifestyle even though living in Manhattan is generally an intense lifestyle regardless. Well I just want to say in conclusion that I really do believe you should go see this movie, bring the kids because it was kind of funny and a really cute story!

X-Men: First Class

This action, adventure, drama, stars Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), and others. The story is about a pack of superheros, whom also happen to have mutant abilities and who decide to team up to take on powers that are trying to orchestrate widespread destruction. Well I have to say that of all the superhero movies I have seen in the past year and beyond this one was right up there in it's level of decency. The movie essentially recounts the story of how hero's in the X-Men comics came to be like the Beast for instance and amid that you have this battle that some of these mutant do in fact decide to take on against Sebastian Shaw and the Russian Army! I believe that you will find it entertaining to watch these characters use their wide variety of unique powers to take on the loathsome Sebastian Shaw. I also believe that perhaps even if your are not into the whole superhero movie concept thing you will still find this movie to be entertaining, as something interesting seems to be constantly occurring through out. I know what you might even be thinking right now about all of this; you might even be able to talk your girlfriend into seeing this one on what's suppose to be a chic flick night right, although you will just have to explain that it probably won't be to boring, but hey don't tell her I put you up to it just in case that plan falls threw because you never know! Super 8

This mystery, sci fi, thriller was directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Joel Courtney (Joe Lamb), Jessica Tuck (Mrs. Kaznyk), Ryan Lee (Cary) and others. The story is about a group of friends who are filming a zombie movie in their town and whom come to find that there are actually much stranger going on's happening all around them at the same time. I believe what this movie most has going for itself is the element of surprise, because I could not find in the previews what was the precise peculiar matter that was really effecting the town folks. It could have been anything from a killer tomato, to Lady Gaga having a nervous breakdown and wearing lamb chops on her head, as far as anybody knew it seemed, so that was cool; and of course I am not at all implying these two story lines are necessarily what it was just so you know, LOL! I do believe there is a lot to enjoy from this movie, as it was quite mysterious and had some interesting special effects. However it almost seemed by the time the movie was over this was a story bundled into a dozen or so other films from the past, so I felt it was lacking a little uniqueness, just to let you know in case you were looking for something entirely different; but other then that in my opinion it was not to bad at all. I would give Super 8 about an 8 out of 10 on the movie richter scale, but I do hope you will also take a moment to still watch the trailer below to see if it is really your thing or not! Insidious

This movie was directed by James Wan and is a horror, thriller, starring Patrick Wilson (Josh Lambert), Rose Byrne (Renai Lambert) and others. The story is about parents who are trying to protect their son who is in a coma and has somehow evoked a realm of angry spirits that attempt to try and scare the heck out of everyone that enters their abode! I was not quite sure what to expect from this movie, well I will just say that it interestingly looked quite similar to The Exorcist to me in the trailer. But I have to say that the movie was pretty freaking scary, and I would bet it might just scare anyone from little kids to some tough motorcycle dude. It was quite the roller coaster of a thing and I found the story to be unique for it's genre and cleverly filmed were you have these moments that make you want to jump out of your seat or perhaps even your skin for some! So if your imagination is in the mood for a good scare I think you should go see this movie as it seemed to me to be a real decent horror flick and if you don't want to take my word you can always check the trailer out below, cheers.-

Rio was directed by Carlos Saldanha and stars the voices of Leslie Mann (Linda), Jesse Eisenberg (Blu) and other famous Hollywood folks! This animation, adventure, comedy is about Blu taking off to Rio to meet Jewel, another Macaw bird; and from there he comes by a wide array of characters some good and some bad, and all of whom which become part of his adventurous trip to good old Minnesota and South America! Well this movie was a cute little story and I am sure your kids will enjoy it! I can't really think much of any bad things to warn you about it as it was not to violent or something like I was told the kids movie Cars 2 supposedly was so! Although I might bet it was perhaps not quite as funny as Buzz and Woody from Toy Story or the raining spaghetti meatballs guy, but this movie was still a real amusing story with likable and goofy characters who had their own funny moments! I would have to give this movie an 8 out of 10 overall!

Jane Eyre

This movie was directed by Cary Fukunaga and is a drama, romance starring Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre), Jamie Bell (St. John Rivers) and others. The story is based on a famous book and is a intricate romance type of tale that along the way brings about different revelations. I was glad to see this movie as it is based on a famous story. That being said though I would bet perhaps that this movie was not quite as a good as the book. It seemed to me that there was all this drama and all at the same time a variety of things are happening all over the board. In other words in my opinion I think they should have focused on one thing at a time and up the amount of drama they depict amid these characters involved, like for instance I found the whole ghostly aspects of this tale to be a little out of sorts. But if you do see it and love it I am happy for you, as I know some movies mean things to people for a variety of reasons, but so far for this movie season I would say this was one of the least greatest that has been out there, but I do recommend checking out the trailer below whatever the case!

The Hangover 2

This movie was directed by Todd Phillips and is a comedy, starring Bradley Cooper (Phil), Ed Helms (Stu) Zach Galifianakis (Alan); and gosh I am glad I can just write Zack's last name here and don't have to say it! Well anyhow I was so hammered when I saw the movie that I don't remember a thing, so I will give this particular movie review a try another day. Just kidding; any who I think they might want to add an extra title in the third one for laughs like "The Hangover 3 Just Were in The Hell is Stu's Tooth This Time", I'm just saying. So the movie seemed to me to be definitely hugely funny at times judging by the audience laugh meter spygomater I keep on me when I am out looking for good movies. The movie was also a bit trashy at times as well unfortunately and the story you might see a lot of commonalities from this to the first. But I myself for some reason did not mind having similarities between the two films so far, because I believe although some aspects from certain scenes were familiar from before, but the humor was still viable and creative this time to. Well finally to make this easier for the both of us at this point because I am running low on blog space here and more importantly because certainly I would never want to strain any ones eyes with a mega review, I would recommend this comedy if you don't mind a dumb and dumber genre type of replica and if you are ready to chuckle rather hard. So certainly I would not just rule out this movie at all this summer when buying a ticket as it strengh is that I found it to be surely one of the most enjoyably, silly and highly crazy, funny movies in theaters right now for the the month of June.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides

This action, adventure, fantasy was directed by Rob Marshall and stars the very famous Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow), Geoffrey Rush (Barbossa) and others. The movie mate is interesting as it is about a rush to find the fountain of youth between armies and pirate type characters and from there you guessed it well the fun continues. I cannot think of anything really terrible to say about this movie as I believe every moment of it was trying to entertain the audience with Sparrow's unique behavior and personality, as well as that of the personalities of the other characters and some I am sure you might find yourself either loving or despising. In other words I thought the movie has a lot of flavor. It is probably a long shot from a real life biography of pirates or anything all that realistic, but what the hay I think that can be the beauty of going to the movies to find yourself in a peculiar imaginary realm of existence right! So I would have to give this movie a recommendation as it was not bad and quite entertaining!

The story of Thor is about how he becomes and outcast of Asgard and is sent to Earth were he soon finds himself battling the new powers at hand in between two different types of worlds. Well I would have to say the movie was interesting, I know this is essentially Marvels first time bringing into the superhero role of a so called godly power like this Thor character. But I thought it was interesting because this was a unique type of movie and I was not exactly sure what the characters were developing in to. So I can't really think of anything bad to say about this movie which I thought was a decent film and I think the trailer represents the story well and perhaps you would like to check it out below!

This drama movie was directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Reese Witherspoon (Marlena) Robert Pattinson (Jacob), Christoph Waltz (August) and others. The story is about Jacob who joins a traveling circus as their vet after he left veterinarian school and from there he meets a variety of characters and some more unsavory then others as well upon his journey. To me this was one of the best movies of the year. It seemed the acting was really good and I believe Christoph Waltz was perfect for the role he has. Anyhow I enjoyed how the flow of the movie jived and the drama between the characters. I believe it was a combination between the good acting and the story that will likely make you loath some of the characters and love some of the other ones, which made the movie more intriguing. So yeah I thought this was a real excellent story and I will say no more as the rest is for you to find out and don't forget to check out the trailer below.

The story is essentially about a high school prom and of course all of the emotions and characters this particular high school event brings out. The movie was a nice little story about kids and the drama of going to the prom, a worry of mine I have not thought much about in over ten years, which actually would be nice to have as a worry over my phone bill lately. It seemed to me some of the scenes carried on to long with little humor, but other then that I can't really give any empirically negative reviews upon this movie; so my feelings would be that I would certainly recommend seeing this movie if you are about to go to the prom soon, but if your not and are looking for nonstop LOL moments you perhaps might just want to check out the trailer below to see if this fits all of your movie taste buds for your next trip to the theaters-

It did seem to have some level of LOL (laughing out loud), but on the whole I don't believe this was Danny McBride's funniest movie. But I truly can't say that this movie did not hold my attention from the story to the goofs, so I think you guys should go and see this unique, peculiar and at time creepy in a comical way movie about these rather goofy medieval characters! So in other words I would give this movie about an eight out of ten! Well whatever the case I hope you somehow like this movie if you do in fact go to see it!

Directed by Duncan Jones this mystery, sci fi, thriller, stars Gyllenhaal (Colter Stevens), Michelle Monaghan (Christina Warren) and others. The movie is about a soldier who wakes up in an unknown body on a train that he finds has a bomber that he needs to stop. And you will have to forgive me for to much more of the details because this movie was more complex then doing a crossword puzzle in Greek. In fact if anyone can explain this movie at The Source Code movie for Dummies level as a comment I will send you a free movie pass or something just leave your email as a comment. But anyhow this is a movie that will hold your attention in excitement and I will bet will really make you start guessing or conspiring about what exactly is going on the peculiar train ride that Stevens is on. Although I thought the movie could have been more clear about many things, it was more unique in it's story line from other movies, which was kind of cool. However since I could not quite bring it all together precisely and I am not sure if the director could even, I think many people will probably find this movie to be in the 7 to 8 range out of ten!

This movie directed by Zach Synder is a action, adventure, fantasy starring Emily Browning (Baby Doll), Abbie Cornish (Sweet Pea), Jena Malone (Rocket) and others. The story is about a girl who is abused by her stepfather and she becomes institutionalized at a mental health facility and uses her imagination as a coping mechanism to in a way formulate forms of escape in her mind as she remains stuck at the Lennox House. Well this movie was sort of disturbing, full of action scenes as well that to me that looked like a type of ongoing video game of sort. Overall because the movie had a rather less then inspiring ending in my opinion and because it was hard to understand the basic ideas of this movie, I would have to give this picture a 6 out of 10. I wild add to though that this movie did do really well with special effects of a sort and if you like it good for you I was just having trouble bringing it all together as a piece of Hollywood art work. Interestingly the movie also is suppose to take place in a town were I closely live by, which is Brattleboro Vermont; and we have a saying in VT what happens here stays here, but nothing ever happens here, so it was nice to see Hollywood in this neck of the woods I have to say!

This movie was directed by Frad Furman and is a crime, drama, starring Matthew McConaughey (Mick Haller), Marisa Tomei (Maggie McPherson) Ryan Phillippe (Louis Roulet) and others. The story is about a lawyer Mick, whom conducts his legal business out of his Lincoln and comes upon a twisted legal case involving some very wealthy and suspicious characters. Well this movie was quite awesome, in fact it seems most things with the named Lincoln are: the town car, the president, Lincoln Nebraska, but anyhow I am going way off topic. Well I believe you will most likely find this movie to be either intense and mystifying or both, as Mick deals with a dynamic sociopath that probably will make your stomach spin. I can't really think of anything bad much to say about this movie as the storyline was not boring and it has a variety of surprises along the way of a sort; so I will have to give this movie about an 9 out of 10, well anyhow here is the trailer to help me out in making the case to go see the Lincoln Lawyer!

This animation, adventure, comedy, romance type of movie was directed by Kelly Asbury and stars the voices of James McAvoy (Gnomeo), Emily Blunt (Juliet), Michael Caine (Lord Redbrick) and others. This take on the legendary Shakespeare story is about two groups of Gnomes: The Blues and Reds and what just occurred to me is that I bet Shakespeare would be rolling over in laughter and perhaps flattered to know that his love story was going to be adapted by both grumpy and cute mini lawn trinkets, just a thought I had a moment ago! Anyhow one group are from Montague and the other from Capulet and they happen to be furious which each other and what comes to be is that Gnomeo a blue and Juliet a red fall in love together. Well you might find the movie fascinating depending upon your preference for lawn gnomes. However I don't believe this story about these little munchkins exactly derailed but I was expecting it to be a bit more humorous and filled with more characters who were a bit more likable like the Donkey from Shrek. So I thought the movie was about average as it did hold my attention for a variety of reasons, but one way or the other that could just be my acquired taste talking so I do recommend checking out the trailer below-

The story is about a struggling writer who is introduced to a new drug that enables him to use more then just ten percent of his brain, which they say humans only do, although I am not entirely sure if that is true. This movie was filled with a variety of elements that contained suspense, action, creativity, romance, mystery throughout, with a rather fascinating plot making not boring for me and so I will just say yeah for these reasons I would have to give this movie a certain 10 out of the ten pecent of my brain that loves movies!

It would have been nice to understand more about where the adjustment bureau people came from, but everything else was perfecto in my opinion and I would recommend this movie as it was one of the best I have seen in a long time!

Well first off I have to say I feel bad for the Paul alien character whom seems pretty cool right now, cause just when aliens are trying to come back with a good reputation in Hollywood they attack Los Angeles!! But in all seriousness this movie seemed to me will probably not win the Hollywood manuscript award for it's story that did not seem that complex compared to others but I believe it has some strengths for pure amusement purposes; meaning to say it was entertaining from time to time just watching these aliens movie around on the screen. So all in all I think most might find this movie to be in the average range if there looking for something that is more then just a great work of special effects!

The movie was entertaining for me because this plot was a what if situation I have thought about before if your identity was wiped off the face of the planet and as a matter of fact if you ever google your name you might just see all sorts of random intriguing stuff you know! Unknown was like a roller coaster that got me hooked because there was always something I was unsure about and at least made me continue to think about to some extent and of course the exciting and fake Hollywood car explosions and action intermingled between the plot made this movie something I could recommend!

This supernatural type of story is about John who is a very unique high schooler who possess interesting abilities and whom is on the run against a deadly enemy who probably need true psychiatric help and whom have come to destroy him just like they had the three individuals before himself. Well I found that the first part of this movie was really interesting as various facts about the characters were emerging. The later part of the movie was good to but it was not quite as uniquely mysterious as the first part as I am someone who has seen a lot of movies. But overall I have to say combined all as one this movie was quite entertaining and is worth going to see if you are by any means in the mood for this type of genre of film!

This biography, drama, history movie is the story of King George VI whom inherits the throne, as his ever important goal of speaking better publicly becomes more crucial. I know that the people who created this movie did well at the Oscars, such as the director Tom Hooper, as well as the actors and actresses, like Colin Firth (King George VI), Helena Bonham Carter (Queen Elizabeth), Derek Jacobi (Archbishop Cosmo Lang) and so forth. The movie was a little dry at times but on the whole I though they stretched the story line of the movie out efficiently: an interesting royal king who when speaks is hoping to make audiences cry but instead words fly like drivel from a fountain with a broken plumbing system. Anyhow the fact that this movie was a true story and there were a few hilarious scenes like when the the king is practicing his warm up speaking in his lessons. So yeah I would certainly recommend this movie as it is a significant piece of European history and now a significant piece of movie history all over as it raked in the recent Hollywood academy award points!!

This action, adventure, drama movie is the story of an underwater cave diving team who have an encounter that is one heck of an uphill battle within an cave that is new to human explorers. I believe this movie strong points is that it seemed to be an exciting but dramatic adventure that is based on true events according to the director. What happens to the characters in the movie surely will make you realize how dangerous underwater cave diving can be, in fact I think I might stay at the pool and scuba at my hotel if I just so happen to take a trip to Papa New Guinea in the near future. Anyhow back to the point it seemed to me that this is really an amazing story like Jon Krakauer and his book "Into Thin Air" or the story of Ernest Shackleton the explorer of the Arctic as I found this movie was really chocked full of intense, adventure that should keep you and your friends on your edge of your seat!

I would have to say that this movie was a decent Western overall perhaps not the best ever but humorous and filled with grungy cowboy types who I will bet you will either love or despise. So I would give this movie in my opinion I don't know around an 8 out of 10 cut a dusty, dunderhead, five beans in the wheel cowboys and girls!

The movie is essentially about a man who gets I guess you could say an interesting case of the crazies after he sees that his best friends wife is in fact cheating on his friend. I would say altogether that the movie was good because I found a way to become to get to enjoy some of the characters and loathe other ones not to mention that this movie has a positive and humorous message at times. So I would have to recommend this movie that I think works good because it has elements at different times of heavy drama and humor!

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

This adventure, family, fantasy, movie directed by Michael Apted stars Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie), Skandar Keynes (Edmund Pevensie) and others. The movie is about Lucy and Edmund's return to Narnia along with their cousin Eustace. The three of them then embark on a magical journey with Prince Caspian aboard the Dawn Treader and to the edge of the world where they come across a wide range of very interesting, somewhat peculiar, and fascinating characters! As you can see in the trailer the movie has highly interesting special effects, is a neat adventure story, which I am sure most kids will like and certainly somewhat comical with characters like talking animals. I would say that the movie was entertaining enough to enjoy! Although I also thought it was perhaps a tad cheesy for lack of a better word and easy to configure at times but the retina of my eyes were still bouncing around because of all the out of the ordinary scenes of adventure. So I believe essentially this movie is very good just as long as you don't mind some of the predictable elements that it seemed to me exist in this journey of Narnia story.

This action, crime, thriller, comedy picture was directed by Michel Gondry and stars Seth Rogen (Britt Reid), Jay Chou (Kato), Cameron Diaz (Lenore Case), and others. The movie is about a wealthy fellow teaming up with someone who worked for him (Kato) to become a crime fighting force that also comes to be recognized as The Green Hornet all over. Well this movie is not the common style to win academy awards because the acting many not be so deep at times but I believe if you go see this movie you will not find a dull moment. It was quite funny and it kept me on the edge as I awaited the next great scene of humor or some form of action. I also know that if you like Batman and have a sense of humor this is a nice picture to see because the Green Hornet kind of reminds me of a cloned Bruce Wayne that had just a few minor details in working out the kinks of the cloning process perhaps, you know! So yeah in other words I thought this movie did a nice job in all the facets it was suppose to present, which you can also get from the trailer below, and I believe that all of you reading this blog right now should consider going to see The Green Hornet!

This adventure, drama, fantasy movie was directed by Dominic Sena and stars Nicolas Cage (Behmen), Ron Perlman (Felson) and others. In this story 14th century knights transport a suspected witch for a trial and embark on a creepy adventure that reveals all sorts of surprises. Well do I think the movie was in some a way a bit silly, yes; and it was also a movie that although I was not exactly terrified watching but some of the characters in it if I saw them outside of the cinema I would probably become paralyzed with surprise, be unable to move and awkwardly be standing there yelling in shock at their blood curling, ghastly appearances, my goodness! So what I am getting at here is that the movie was fun to watch because you know it is not real life, my golly, and I believe it did manage a way to have a alright story to it, which kind of acted like a roller coaster ride of suspense; although I am not into demonic movies generally cause I believe they typically just have to many weird vibes but this one was not to bad in that category so it seems. So my grade for this movie would probably be about a B-, but I just want to say that if you think it is higher good for you cause I am not sure if there in actuality always truly any right or wrong answers in this movie review business.

This comedy movie was directed by Paul Weitz and stars Ben Stiller (Greg Focker), Robert Deniro (Jack Byrnes), Owen Wilson (Kevin Rawley), and others. This movie is a continium of what the other movies have been in the past were you have the ever strict and funny Jack Byrnes breathing down the neck of Gaylord Focker AKA Greg Focker. In this third movie I think it is open to interpretation who acts the most goofy this time around, whether it be Jack, Greg, Kevin, perhaps even the little Fockers and so on. I don't believe it was as priceless as the first movie Meet the Parents, but it was still fun essentially seeing these intricate characters try and keep their sanity for an hour and thirty eight minutes! I believe between the intensity of the characters, their humorous and craziness or perhaps better put yet wild kookiness this movie is a fairly decent comedy to go see in theaters right now! Oh also I found one of those little movie fun facts were I saw that in one scene I saw the microphone boom above Ben Stiller's head in the shot when he was speaking to one of his little Fockers!

This movie was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard and is a animation, comedy, family movie starring Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Zachary Levi (Flynn Rider), Donna Murphy (Mother Gothel) and others. The movie is about a love story involving Rapunzel and a bandit she falls in love, whom takes her on an adventure into the outside world from her home were her mother at once had made sure she remained for her entire life. The movie was a pleasant Disney cartoon tale that involved humor and a love story, so yeah it is hard to give the movie a tough review and plus the acting was done by cartoons so that's kind of out of the question to critique as well! Anyhow back to my point I really did find the characters to be just that characters; the story also I would say was very adventurous and exciting; so I truly believe that this movie falls above the standards for any Disney movie, unlike a few I have seen in the past decade that seemed a little dry. So yeah, sure, absolutely go see this movie if you are in a real animation, fairy tale mood, with characters that I am sure will somehow find a way to most definitely make you laugh or smile sooner or later.

This movie was directed by Tony Scott and stars Chris Pine (Will), Denzel Washington (Frank), Rosario Dawson (Connie) and others. The movie is definitely an action, drama thriller! In the movie Frank and Chris are in a race against time to stop a train running by itself and from coming into a large area that could lead to a bigger tragedy. The movie was quite heart racing and the fact that it was based on true events certainly made it even all the more so. I believe you will find this to be a really cool movie to see as you have these two heroes of a sort attempting to take on such a big event; and I like that the fact that the movie is based on true events and gives some credits to the people who helped save the day on May 15th 2001 when this incident had actually occurred in real life. So yeah I would recommend going to see this movie on Ryan's Little Movie Blog but hey be prepared for some serious levels of things like action, drama and excitement.

The movie is about the broken hearted Frank Tupelo visiting Italy and whom comes cross Elise and the romance sparks begin to fly for better or worse. What I believed I liked most about this action, drama, thriller was that it was a story that would have been easier to guess if you watched it backwards and the twists and turns made the movie more of an original thing coming from Hollywood. It was quite funny at times to and I think both main characters would probably get A's for their roles. So yeah why not go see this action movie involving a gangster chasing down Angelina Jolie as she finds romance in the air with Elise among the kind of cool unfolding puzzle that is happening all around them. So I would say this movie is definitely in the 8 out of ten range!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This movie stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley) and others. The movie was directed by David Yates and apparently will be the second to the last movie in the Harry Potter series. The movie is about Harry's race against time to destroy the Horcruxes as he also comes upon some powerful objects known as the Deathly Hallows. The movie was interesting in its effects and adventure and held my attention well at that level. Although I did find it a little bit hard to get up to speed being a person who has missed many of the past movies. I believe sometimes that is a barrier with out of the common realm of things movies that sometimes it is hard to understand the concept of a fruffledorf or something without more of a background perhaps. Anyhow the movie was entertaining in a sense of the craziness that was occurring but I am not so sure if it will get the story of the year award. So my feelings were that this movie was probably I don't know about 7 out of ten dancing genies in a bottle performing the macarena!

The movie is about two single adults who become caregivers when two friends to both of them pass away and so the two new caregivers are forced to life with each other and you guessed it the fun continues, as they try and work together as parents and face other random challenges they have from knowing each other more in life. The movie was an interesting idea for a comedy where you have a scenario of a date gone bad to then turn into an accidental living, parenting arrangement so that was cool. I also have to say that this was a good type of chick flick overall for couples as me and my girlfriend did in fact enjoy this movie together! I understand that this movie did not get the highest reviews but I believe because of the cute nature of the story perhaps and the way the characters evolve I think most viewers will like this movie or at least find something they liked about this movie, so I believe it is worth a shot and perhaps you might want to check out the trailer below to this pretty neat comedy to if that helps as well perhaps! This movie was directed by Robert Schwentke and stars Bruce Willis (Frank Moses), John Malkovich (Marvin Boggs), Morgan Freeman (Joe Matheson) and other older and recent very famous Hollywood people. Any who the movie is an action, comedy about a group of old spies who have a sort of reunion you could say and come back together as a team as they are threatened by a high-tech type of assassin. I liked how the movie had energy permeating through with action and comedy and I think at times it did a amazing job with both, although altogether I wouldn't necessarily expect all viewers would automatically give it the comedy or action movie of the year award in it's entirety. But any who I felt altogether this movie was really decent and I enjoyed it because it was either being real funny or action packed at all times in some fashion. Although if I was the director I would have had a different ending for Joe Mathesons role, but oh well that's the way the movie business goes sometime. So this movie was quite good and I think most viewers will feel the same and of course you know I'm not just saying that cause I am under the suspicion that a secret group of agents will come after me wearing white coats if I say otherwise as this movie might have you believe, just playing.

This movie directed by Will Gluck, is a comedy, romance, movie, starring Emma stone (Olive), Amanda Bynes (Marianne), Lisa Kudrow (Mrs. Griffith) and others. The movie is essentially about a clean cut high school student who finds a way to spread rumors about her own self, which allows herself to be put into the limelight of the high school social world, as well as make money off the facade she lives into. I would say the movie was decently funny and there were some laugh out loud moments. I am not sure if this movie will light up the awards show this year, as I'm not sure if all viewers will take from this picture total positive life changing inspiration from the story, like Scent of A Woman or something, but you never know, and I say if viewers perhaps do in some fashion then good for them! Yeah any who the movie was quite funny and the plot was constantly changing, so I would have to say this was a very decent comedy movie, although just to let you know it was a bit on the raunchy side at times in a certain light. This movie was directed by Nimrod Antal and yes I do think that is a unique name somehow, but any who the movie is an action, adventure, sci fi, thriller and I would say horror movie, starring Adrien Brody (Royce), Topher Grace (Edwin), Laurence Fishburn (Noland) and others. The movie is about a group of elite hunters singled out and hunted by the terribly ugly, terrifying, or I should say more like hideous, vicious, & utterly but ugly predator alien beings. This movie I thought was really good and I suppose so far I also have not seen one of these predator movies that I did not find to be entertaining yet! I believe that is because you can sit back and watch these things in these movies that fortunately only exist on camera at least that we know of and think about the creative and unique minds of Hollywood surely making up this Hollywood craziness! Any who if you are in the mood for some crazy sci fi, thriller, action, horror stuff then this movie will probably be a good pick and I would say if you are in the mood for some lighthearted comedy don't get this movie mixed up, which I am sure no one would likely do anyhow cause the name is Predator! Any who, yeah, I do think this movie lived up to the past Predators and I liked the action and thriller part of it were in the plot you have two groups of extreme predators at battle, however the difference is one is human and one is definitely not!

This crime, drama, thriller was directed by Ben Affleck and stars Ben Affleck (Doug MacRay), Jeremy Renner (James Coughlin), Rebecca Hall (Claire Keesey) and others. The story is about a group of bank robbers, one whom which (Doug MacRay) falls for a victim Claire Keesey connected to one of his earlier heists, as the FBI and other task forces are hard at work bringing MacRay and his thieves down. Well I thought the movie was really good cause it had a real edge of drama in it. It was kind of weird how the perspective of the robbers was kind of portrayed as guys that the director was trying to get you to like and I think I will let you decided whether you saw any potential turning of leaves among the characters somehow. Anyhow yeah the movie was pretty cool & I can't really think of many criticisms about it all because the gloomy, dark, very intense at times drama seemed to attach nicely from scene to scene, even when there was not any action going on to. So perhaps Ben Affleck will decided to direct some more cool stuff in the future!

Otherwise as far as zombie awards goes to movies in the past few years I think my number one vote would be for Zombie Land with Woody Harrelson; as this movie sequence of events in Resident Evil: Afterlife, might not perhaps tie audience up in knots as much with creativity in its sequence of events that is way different then other zombie type films. However I would say the movie was definitely entertaining with its amazing special effect scenes and also I should add being a movie you can see in 3D is always a plus!

The movie is essentially about these tough guys known as Expendables hired by some important people to go to South America and take out a dictator. Well the movie was an interesting concept having these all these movie heroes of a sort come together and yes you can bet I though a few of the perhaps less realistic action dialogue scenes was a bit nacho cheesy at times. Do I think the movie could have been better yes, because you have so much to play with creatively having all these old heros in one film do I think the movie was entertaining that would also be a yes. But what I feel about this movie most important is that I think anyone who has loved an action movie of the past with random stuff blowing up and knows about the personality of various superheros then this movie is very much worthwhile.

Wow boy, I believe this should be a quick and easy one to review, anywho this action, sci fi, horror, thriller directed by Alexandre Aja stars Ving Rhames (Deputy Fallon), Elisabeth Shue (Julie Forester), Jerry O'Connell (Derrick Jones) and others. The movie is about a large tremor in the earth that sets free hellish piranha that are people hungry at a beach area populated by vacation goers & lots of spring breakers. Well I think the actual story plot could in fact have been wrote by a spring break college student living a life equivalent to that of Kraft macaroni cheese dinner if that is possible. I also have to say that this movie would not be for children cause of the nudity and other sketchy behavior. Anyhow the movie in my opinion was far from awards, but I was able to survive the Piranha movie and enjoy it at times because it was in 3D and also because the chilling drama from time to time that was eye catching; so I would have to say I believe most movie goers would find this movie to be in the middle C range if it is in 3D and perhaps a bit lower in non 3-D because the story line I believe is a bit to much of a give away for viewers, or likely to be predicted, but atleast some scenes seemed to me to be like entertainment that are like interesting dramatic action chewing gum!

The Other Guys was directed by Adam McKay and stars Will Ferrell (Allen Gamble), Mark Wahlberg (Terry Hoitz), Samuel Jackson (P.K. Highsmith), Dwayne Johnson (Christopher Danson) and others. The story is that two desk office type of cops take it upon themselves to try and jump into the limelight shadow of the two superstar characters played by Samuel Jackson and The Rock (Dwayne Johnson). The movie had it's funny moments like most Will Ferrell movies do in my opinion, but there also were other moments when I thought the humor fell a bit short in the storyline. It seemed the climax & story lines were pretty common to most Ferrell slapstick comedy. So yes I am saying I think the movie was in the higher average range, but I have to say if you love Will Ferrell skits, or are overdue for Will Ferrell comedy goofs then whatever happened in the story anyhow would not matter and I wold recommend going to go see it now! So I would have to agree with the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) and say this movie was around in the C+ range for this years best comedies, but with the help of an all star line up this movie I believe also gets lots of bonus points!

To be honest I have not seen enough of the first Karate Kid to compare the two so I won't try to do that. Any who I am quite sure this movie though did pretty good for itself being a remake. Yes you can probably guess what kind of ending will happen to the movie as you might not leave flabbergasted with plot climax surprises knowing how Hollywood can be; but I believe the movie is pretty awesome altogether; it is also almost two and a half hours long I got to add! I guess what I enjoyed about the movie was the characters from the bullies to the Karate Kid to Mr. Han they came together forging scenes that created excitement eventually. Other then that I should add that there were probably enough kung fu choppy scenes or what have you in here for the action junkies so, and I also liked how it was a family movie for kids to. So yeah in other more simple words finally, I would say I don't believe this movie will be that disappointing if you know about and are interested in seeing more of this legendary screen character known as the Karate Kid.

I would have to recommend this movie as I believe it accomplished continuous scenes of unknowing action, was funny and the characters I think grow on the audience nicely. So yeah I think this movie was really good what is funny about it to is that it is hard to tell at times if Roy is fully crazy, bad, out of control or not! On a side note I have to say Tom Cruises role in movies lately certainly seem to be with characters with huge canolies from Les Grossman to Roy Miller, so I think that is pretty big.

The movie is about a CIA spy who goes on the run after being a accused of being an ex Russian Spy. Well I can't say this movie is not related to a whole lot of what I have seen before in movies like Mission Impossible, however I think what is clever of this movie is the dynamic character that is Salt. Salt's character is at times so mystifying she is like one big yin yang symbol, which makes for the development of mystery that accumulates. So to cut to the point here I am not sure if this movie is going to get the action movie award of the decade but I would be it probably could compete with the standards and presentation of other movies like Mission Impossible or Die Hard, so I thought it was decently entertaining; so be prepared for car explosions, angry dudes and a pretty lady with the potential for blowing stuff up. So yeah I would give this decent movie about a 7.5 but whatever the case I hope you really enjoy if you go see it!

Well I will try and make this review a wee less complex as the actual film, although I am not sure if it would be possible to make it that way as it is because it is one of those I am in a different world, place or plot every other scene or so. The movie stars Leonardo Decaprio (Cobb), Ellen Page (Adriadne- AKA commonly known as Juno as well I should add), Joseph Gordon-Levitt and others. The story is about Cobb a highly trained thief who is given a chance at a type of redemption through his plan and mission of inception. Well the movies entrenched complexity I think will keep you guessing and the special effects scenes from time to time are out of this world or should I say in another world. However it almost seemed to me the movie was trying so hard to be complex that the clarity levels or scenes could have been expanded, but I know there are some directors who think making questions is beautiful, so I guess it is all a matter of your preference. Anyhow I think this movie does a pretty nice job though you might leave a little perplex for a while and want to see it again possibly like I did; and I believe it probably contains enough elements of entertainment all around to go see it perhaps, so it is probably worth the ticket and I would agree that for matrix & sci fi types out there this one surely will have enough related content for you and should be a lot of fun.

Toy Story 3, was directed by Lee Unkrich and is an animation, adventure, comedy, family, fantasy story including the voices of Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), Michael Keaton (Ken) and other famous Hollywood folks, of course often known as Hollyweird depending upon who you are talking about I might add. Anyhow the third adventurous movie here is about how the toys are mistakenly brought to a day care rather then the upstairs attic and Woody tries to convince his friends they were not thrown out. Well I was impressed with this movie on all levels and I could not find anything much wrong with it either as a viewer. I think you will find from start to finish this movie was put together good, as it actually involves elements of creativity, funniness, drama at times as it seriously had all the elements of most movies in one humorous uplifting type of story. So yeah this is definitely a good one, I would recommend it for all people and especially adults like myself who enjoyed feeling a bit like they were a kid again like I did when watching this movie!

A drama, fantasy, romance picture this movie again stars Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) and others. The story line in this one is about Bella choosing her romancer either being Jacob or Edward and in the midst of these issues, vampires unfortunately are descending on the residents of Seattle, and you thought you were having a bad day right. Any who the movie seemed to live up to the prior titles but I think this one might have just been a little more cheesy at times or something, but to give the movie credit it must be hard to take a blood thirsty demon and a big smelly dog with fangs and turn them into suave romancers without having them act a little silly now and then. Anyhow aside from some of the romance scenes I was not to crazy about I think the storyline is now surely a classic and that the plot had a potent enough amount of interest to keep viewers tuned in. So yeah this movie was pretty good about a 7 or so I do believe and I think since it was quite a different setting or scenario in story line then the former movies it is additionally most certainly a must see for the twi-hards.

This movie is a action, comedy, crime, romance movie directed by Andy Tennant, starring Jennifer Aniston (Nicole Hurley), Gerald Butler (Milo Hurley), Jason Sudeikis (Stewart) and others. The movie title is pretty straight forward as it is about a bounty hunter, but whom is involved in a unique twist as the next person he is bringing in is his reporter, ex-wife whom has issues as she is on the run because of a crime cover up story. Well just to let you know Rotten Tomatoes reviewers gave this movie a 8 percent out of 100, but I might not go that far. I think in comparison to some of the great Hollywood comedies this one was a little low on laugh out loud moments however it did seem to have a aurora of goofiness because the silly expanding plot in the matrix of things. The story was also not the least predictable movie either as far as what was going on with the two main characters but I think between the humor at times, creative or relatively new story plot for comedy, amusingly agitated characters that this movie is perhaps more so in the 7 or so range in comparison to other comedies this year, so I did believe it was actually pretty good.

This sequel picks up nicely from where it left off and in this part of the story of course you have the world trying to find the same technology to make Iron Man suits. I felt like this movie did a good job at providing another step in the making into what I am sure will probably much more to come, although I have to say I was kind of looking for that one surprise character from the first. If you are not sure who I am talking about leave a comment and I can fill you in. Anyhow I believe this movie will satisfy Iron Man fans and perhaps hook others who have not been as interested yet. This Ridley Scott version of Robin Hood is an action, adventure, drama, starring Russell Crowe (Robin Longstride), Cate Blanchett (Marion Loxley), William Hurt (William Marshal) and others. The plot of the movie is of course about Robin Hood who faces the treacherous Godfrey, whom is out to create war between France and England and in the mix of the plot you find important things here like a love story, drama, honor, valor, small doses of humor from time to time and intense fighting of course. Well the movie it seemed to me definitely had surefire elements of entertainment and the plot seemed quite intricate to, so I thought it was pretty good, perhaps around a 7 or so. I have to say though that it seemed some elements of the picture came off as a little predictive because it seemed like many of the traits inherit in this picture seemed to emulate others like Braveheart; but I don't think that was all that big a deal because what actually was happening here was a more then less unique series of complicated battles from various armies. So yeah I thought the movie was pretty good and watching these warrior movies always makes me happy to be born in this time cause otherwise I'd probably be writing these reviews on tree bark or something; plus I bet even saying I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance with Geico in that time would not make me as happy today when there would be guys constantly running around yielding such incredibly dangerous daggers and weaponry!

This fourth movie in the series was directed by Mike Mitchell and is a animation, adventure, family, comedy, fantasy, starring Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), Cameron Diaz (Princess Fiona), and other famous Hollywood people doing the animation, whom I bet probably have insured their voices somehow at this point, since this is the 4th movie. In this movie Shrek is going up against Rumplestiltskin, whom is up to no good by using curses to take over Shrek's life and the Land or type of Kingdom I should say that he resides in with his friends and family. Well I missed a few of the Shrek's, but was able to keep up with this one once it started to get going. On the positive side I thought the characters were cute and were just that characters at times and the story was well written so that it fit into the others. On the negative side I did not find the movie quite laugh out loud like the first one. Also some of it did seem quite predictable, but I think that happens with some fairy tales on occasion. So I would have to say although I did not find it to be as funny as the first that that might just be my acquired taste for humor and so I think on the whole the movie is around a 7 and probably around a 9 for kids who like fairy tales, so I don't think you would really go to wrong with making this pick!

Date Night stars Steve Carell (Phil Foster ), Tina Fey (Claire Foster), Mark Wahlberg (Holbrooke) and other big shot stars. It is also a comedy, romance, thriller directed by Shawn Levy. The story goes that a fairly regular couple the Foster's are out for date night and mistakenly take the identity of some mixed up folks involved with criminals and of course from there you guessed it the fun continues. Although Carell and Fey are always walking and talking funny bones I am not sure if this one was their absolute most hysterical; however of course when you get two people together as funny as them I think you will likely find yourself in certain amounts of chuckles at times. The actual story line was probably not the most noteworthy for a Oscar, but it seemed to me that it involved an interesting amout of moments for laughs and perhaps some unforgettable scences like Fey and Carell doing something special for the DA, which I won't further go into so not to spoil it. So in other words aside from these tid bits I mentioned I would give the movie about an 8 and a half based on all my evidence gathered here and something that I would bet could work to perhaps get you in a humorous mood or cheer you up if need be.

Louis Leterrier directed this action, adventure, drama, fantasy, movie starring Sam Worthington (Perseus), Liam Neeson (Zeus), Ralph Fiennes (Hades) and others. The movie is essentially about Perseus the son of Zeus who is half god half human and on a mission to stop the gods from creating chaos on Earth and into the heavens. Well I liked the fact that the movie did not have an entirely fairly common generic Hollywood start to finish: like boy meets girl and boy conquers world the end, or something to that effect; so the movie was a little different then that. For some reason though I think this movie will appeal to many, but not all cause it is a topic that perhaps some might look at as to much into another world or unrealistic and on the other hand I think others might look at it as intellectual who study mythology and I bet many others will just be very much into the actual outer dimensions or realms of existence that take place in this movie. But I think that on the whole most will say this movie was pretty good and I think people who are looking for another form of mythological related unique existence to come to life that they will enjoy this movie quite a bit because of the action and famous mythological characters alone. This drama, thriller directed by Martin Campbell, stars Mel Gibson (Thomas Craven), Ray Winestone (Jedburgh), Bojana Novakovic (Emma Craven) and I believe it was a decent movie. The movie is about the tragic murder of Thomas Craven's daughter, which leads him to go on a detective mission and find the perpetrators and from there a powerful governmental triangle comes into the game. I think the movie comes off as a must see in it's category of cop movie, because the dyamics of the main character Thomas Craven are pretty impressive, meaning to say I like the fact that he does not take nothing from anybody because he is a detective and of course a powerful arbitor of justice to boot. The movie seemed to go a long way to me as I found myself laughing at times, sad at other times and rather befuddled in a way by the scenes of action. So yeah I would highly reccomend this cop movie and yes it could be debatable if some scenes are unrealistic, but not by to much in some ways perhaps. So I don't know about Ebert, Robert or Siskel but I give it two thumbs up if your seeking action, mystery police stuff.

Well if you never saw the original of this movie this type of sequel is about Alice who goes back to the magical land from her childhood to defeat the evil Red Queen's domination. The movie stars Mia Wasikowska (Alice), Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter), Anne Hathaway (White Queen), Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen) and others. Well the movie is definetly out of this world if you know what I mean, so I think most might just be able to appreciate the special effects and madness of Tim Burton perhaps. I also thought it was cool that they took a movie that was formely a cartoon and made a more real life appearing picture here. I think since this is such a famous story and the fact that it involves so much out of world creativity that if you like anything from Harry Potter to Narnia and so forth this is a pretty good pick for your viewing. And yes I have to admit it can be real fun to step out of this world when you go see a movie, since on somedays I have more then enough problems in this one, which reminds I have to go pay my car bill after this review. So yeah I would certainly reccomend this movie if you want to escape a certain dimension of realty and I would give this movie about an 8 out of 10 pleasent rabbits with clocks more spefically here!

The talented Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders directed this animation, adventure, comedy, family, fantasy movie, starring big name voices like Gerald Butler (Stoick), Craig Ferguson (Gobber), Jay Baruchel (Hiccup) and others. The movie is about a hapless viking in training to hunt dragons, only to soon find he becomes friends with one and he discovers more about the nature of the beast so to speak, well a pretty nice beast in this case. Well everyone I know who saw the movie really liked it. For me it hit the spot as well because you have an amusing animation story with a far out plot, a boy going up against vikings and dragons and well I don't know just how often do you see that everyday. So I think the movie was pretty much in the A category that you will like of course if you want to travel to a new type of world and don't mind the cartoon type of genre. As a matter of fact I might make this amusing animation story a small piece of my big inspiration to train my next pet how to flush a toilet, seeing what a great challenge the character Hiccup overcame in this story. Well anyhow I think that about covers it for this entry and I sure hope you like the movie if you take my word for it!

Scott Cooper directed this drama, music, romance, starring Jeff Bridges (Bad Blake), Maggie Gyllenhaal (Jean Craddock), Colin Farrell (Tommy Sweet) and others. Crazy Heart is the story of Bad Blake essentially analyzing his own life as he is back on the road making country music; from there this story incorporates a relationship, alcoholism and various friends. The story and movie was originally a novel by Thomas Cobb. Well I hope you did not go see this movie thinking you were going to get a lesson on cardiovascular disease like I did; no just kidding, I knew this was for sure a cowboy, country, music movie from the previews. Well the movie was entertaining enough, it was kind of like watching an interlude piece of Willie Nelson's life or something; so you get to see some of the stuff that has been known to occur in country rock stars lives; so I can't really find where the movie derailed or anything, it was just a drama story about this amusing character Blake. I think perhaps the one thing that might sway others views on this picture would be from there full opinion on Crazy Heart by the end, which I imagine could be debated in different ways by some. The movie did get awards though and I would have to say to be a little more clearer that I bet most would probably grade this picture around an 8 or so, as far as a interesting story would go; so perhaps you might want to check this out and I always recommend of course bringing friends who like to wear cowboy stuff as well for movies a bit like this one.

This movie directed by the very famous Clint Eastwood is a biography, drama, sport and history film, starring the also very famous Morgan Freeman (Nelson Mandela), Matt Damon (Francois Pienaar) and others. The movie is essentially about Nelson Mandela in his first term as president of South Africa and who is on a quest to have his country win the 1995, Rugby World Cup to help restore the image of what had been an apartheid torn sort of country. I thought it was good to see something of historical content and intellectual matter, perhaps a little more advanced then the Hottie & the Nottie in this category out of Hollywood. I did enjoy how the film incorporated a lot of facets into a story, such as rugby, Nelson Mandela's life, South Africa, the apartheid and so forth. So yeah I thought the movie was fine but to perhaps express a few thoughts more clearly I kind of felt like I was watching a movie on A & E with Hollywood cameras with more special effects perhaps; so it seemed to really present the details of Nelson Mandela and I think at times you might feel like this is really more of a detailed history lesson from school not things flying around or some other typical Hollywood fun; not that there is anything wrong with either or but just to let you know. On the whole though I thought the movie was worthwhile, perhaps something like a 9 out of 10 shiny rugby ball stars could sum up my perspective on this one; hope that was helpful!

Up in the Air, which is directed by Jason Reitman, stars big names like George Clooney (Ryan Bingham), Jason Bateman (Craig Gregory), Danny McBride (Jim Miller) and the storyline is a comedy, drama, romance. The movie is pretty much about Ryan Bingham and the specialized job he has for a company that fires employees for other companies and as he travels around the country working the storyline goes on to incorporate, family, coworkers, and even a relationship. The movie was a bit trashy at times and to describe it's effectiveness as a film I would like to say some aspects of the characters did in fact come off as pretty cool and interestingly in the end it seemed to me you are sort of left with what seems to be in a way an abstract piece of artwork in which you can make the sense of and how the matters were interjected in the story throughout with there reason, purpose, message or what have ya. More specifically if you are in the mood to some extent to hear the story of what it is like to be a single fellow, but also interested in a relationship that had been developing, and whom basically loves living at work through flying around the country so much and who tries to keep in touch with family, with an ending that you might see from various angles, then this has to got to be your movie. And so my last concluding thought so as not to be too abstract is that this movie I think would probably be considered for the Hollywood entertainment purposes by most reviewers to be around a 7 out or 10 happy stars! Well, Cheers until next review which will definitely be guaranteed no later then titles like Iron Man 2 or Alice in Wonderland, which I have most recently seen advertised out there.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Directed by Wes Anderson, this animation, adventure, comedy, family movie stars big voices like George Clooney (Mr. Fox) Meryl Streep (Mrs. Fox), Bill Murray (Badger), Owen Wison (Coach Skip), William Dafoe (Rat), Jason Schwartzman (Ash) and others. Well I certainly like what they tried to do with this movie, as it seemed like I was watching a concept from the cartoon-animation and puppet world together. The movie is about angry farmers trying to get rid of Mr. Fox and other animals that have been out to take their chickens. Well at some points I almost felt a little bit bad for the farmers, but don't get me wrong I am an animal lover in every way. So yeah Mr. Fox is a bit of a maniac but he is overall a good guy who is also good to his friends and family and I found the characters highly amusing at times. I mean come on who does not just love watching a talking badger from time to time, just talk to the people that make the Geico commericals you know. Although if something like a badger randomly starting a conversation with me happened in real life I am not entirely sure yet if I would cry or laugh at first for some reason. But yeah this movie was amusing enough, although I don't think it will get the animation movie of the year award, but I believe it is not a bad pick if you want to escape into the world of talking wild animals for a while; so I would have to rate this movie around something like 7 and 1/2 angry befuddled farmers out of 10!

It's Complicated is a comedy, romance, directed by Nancy Meyers, with Meryl Streep (Jane), Alec Baldwin (Jake), Steve Martin (Adam) and others. Well if a movie title ever fit its role I think its this one, now that I am thinking about how to talk about this complicated romance film. Anyhow the story is that an old divorced couple Jane and Jake re-create their romance in their relationship after attending their son's graduation, however Jake is currently married to someone else and well from their you guessed it the fun continues so to speak. I guess this movie could be the new type of crazy chick flick if they make a sequel, but just geared more for baby boomers. Although the actual premise of it's message seemed a bit sketchy at times for sure I think most in search of a romance will find this to be amusing and captivating partly because the acting names are so big, but also I think simply because Jake, Adam and Jane are all such characters. So I think this movie might just be a descent pick, just perhaps an 8 or something as far as my own taste buds for movies go and I would say perhaps more like a 9 compared to any other big romance movies that I know are currently playing in theaters world wide this week.

Law Abiding Citizen

Directed by F. Gary Gray this crime, drama, thriller stars Jamie Foxx (Nick Rice), Gerald Butler (Clyde Shelton), Colm Meaney (Detective Dunnigan) and others. The movie is about Clyde Shelton whose family became victims of a crime and Clyde takes the law into his own hands after one of the criminals are released, however Clyde also sees the district attorney and others as targets of a sort that need to be taught a lesson. Well I think it might be kind of hard to debate that this movie did not have at least just a few moments that might be a bit silly, in other words probably not realistic, but I still thought this movie was a top notch action kind of film. It seemed to me that you can become channeled into the film not only because of the events you think will take place but also because of the enigma of the main character Clyde and what he is capable of. I think it is interesting in a way also that some of the villain line up is unusual and not necessarily something that could be debated upon who on the whole is more or less a villain; and for that matter I think one could debate if the title of the movie is fitting perhaps but I think you will know what I mean when you see the picture. I think this movie was well thought out much more then like a typical die hard movie or something and that the characters are so interesting that I think you will surely enjoy this action, thriller tale that at time I think will put you on your seat through some of the excitement and the couple of scenes that might also make you cringe some.

Sherlock Holmes

Directed by Guy Ritchie, starring Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes), Jude Law (Dr. John Watson), Mark Strong (Lord Blackwood) and others; this movie is an action, mystery, adventure, crime, thriller. The plot essentially is about Sherlock and Dr. Watson going after Lord Blackwood whom has an elaborate plot that tries to defy all of England and bring a great amount of power under his control. I really enjoyed the plot of this film because it is dynamic in a sense that I found one big matter could really be occurring and yet another plausible action in actuality could be happening and yes I am talking about some of Lord Blackwood's plans in a way. I have to say although Downey talks a little fast and it seemed it was almost hard to hear him at times I think the character was great for what a real Sherlock would be like and I think you will find his character is surely put up to a intense challenge by Blackwood in this fictional story. I thought the movie had a nice kick of everything from humor, suspense, wit and even a little romance and so forth. So yeah I would recommend this movie it seemed like typical Hollywood fun, which I was looking for and I am glad to see such a legendary character like Mr. Sherlock Holmes come to life on the big screen. Oh and P.S. since I am a dork, perhaps if you somehow disagree with this posting perhaps at the end you should just say in the spirit of my boy Sherlock you haven't a clue or something amusing like so!

Directed by John Lee Hancock this drama, sports movie stars Quinton Aaron (Michael Oher), Sandra Bullock (Leigh Anne Tuohy), Tim McGraw (Sean Tuohy), Kathy Bates (Miss Sue) and others. The movie is about the true story of Michael Oher a homeless, youngster coming from a broken home who is taken in by the wealthy Tuohy family and from there the inspirational story is set further into motion. From here the story then shows the champion football player Michael Oher rise to success and also brings in other topics like racism and much about the important bond Michael forms to his family and friends in his all new life situation out of the projects. Although I am not a football nut the story of this athlete seemed quite inspirational and awesome; however part of me felt that the movie would surely not exactly be like a sports history show on A&E because it seemed just about every other scene or so was just looking for a way to present some form of a feel good inspirational moment if you know what I mean; which is also just fine in my opinion but just to let you know ahead of time it does seem extra heavy on that emotional aspect. But I would say overall this movie has about the right idea or format for a drama people will enjoy and surely find a bit moving and so it seems clearly to me this film is not a bad choice to see. Also not a bad choice because it is a true story and of course the last reason is if you just might also happen to be a die hard Ravens fan because that is the team Michael Oher plays for in the current day.

Roland Emmerich directed this action, adventure, drama, sci fi, fantasy movie and I would say horror movie really in a way, starring John Cusack (Jackson Curtis), Amanda Peet (Kate Curtis), Chiwetel Ejiofore (Adrian Helmsley) and others. 2012 is about the world going through significant disasters as plate tectonics move and the movie shows how some of humanity and various specific characters embark on such a most serious dilemma. Well I have never been a huge fan of world disaster movies, although I have to give credit to effects people today who just seem to be able to pretty much make anything look real on film. This was a disaster movie that also tried to emulate real life people it seemed, like the Governor of California seemingly being Arnold Schwarzenegger and so forth, which I'm sure they do to make you feel more engulfed essentially. For me this movie did not measure much more then other disaster movies out there, that not being a compliment or insult, however certain parts of the solutions and conflicts were unique like human kinds particular attempt at a means of survival. I had seen this particular movie mostly for the heck of it since disaster films are not usually my thing and I sure felt glad to leave that theater in a sound place. In my opinion this movie was not bad but it did not fully and entirely blow me away, excuse the pun on words. In a more further conclusion and in other words my main thought is my guess this movie not to worry on the whole will be found to be pretty good by action seeking audiences because of all the dramatic captivating action that just in my aquired taste though can sometimes perhaps be too intense. Oh and P.S. when in the world are they going to play that R.E.M. song "Its the End of the World" in one of these types of movies!

This movie was directed by James Cameron, who did Titantic also and yes you have probably heard he spent a boat load of money on both of these movies so to speak. Avatar is an action, thriller, sci fi, adventure starring Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe Saldana (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver (Dr. Grace Augustine), Michelle Rodriguez (Trudy Chacon) and others. Well the movie is about a marine Jake Sully choosing to travel to another planet called Pandora where he meets tall blue people, that's right he travels to another planet and meets tall blue people, he does not travel to another planet unwillingly by the means of little green people in this one. But any who the movie Avatar is about Jake Sully a marine whose brother was unfortunately killed, but he takes on his military operation instead. Essentially the story is all about Jake finding himself at odds with military operations, a mineral type of drilling on the planet of Pandora and the beings he becomes most familiar with on the planet known as the Na'vi. The movie has a lot of creativity involved and was very sci fi, it was also a really long movie just to let you know, so you aware of that basic fact; and I also just want to mention my short and simple overall viewpoint in a final summary for this particular entry and that would be that if you can tolerate a high dosage of science fiction coming at you I would recommend this movie for two reasons: one it is a huge movie everyone is talking about and two it is a science fiction story that seems really original as I don't remember seeing anything exactly with a generic storyline to this one. This movie is directed by Chris Weitz and based upon the novel by Stephenie Meyer and it is a drama, fantasy, thriller, romance, horror, starring Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) and others. The movie is a sequel to the Twilight movie and it carries on with the love story of Bella and Edward, however this story has some added drama to it as it involves werewolves and Bella's Friend Jacob and both have big roles in this sequel. Well I have to say I thought the movie was cool; I think it had a nice amount of thriller, fantasy, adventure and romance and elements of what to expect next, if you don't mind great levels of fantasy in a movie. So yeah it was quite entertaining and since Twilight is a series I know there is still a lot more to hear from Stephenie Meyer to fully understand all the characters in these pictures and I just hope in the next movie she creates from her books that it is at least as good as the first two big screen films.

Astro boy is an animation, action, sci fi, family movie directed by David Bowers and stars the voices of Nicholas Cage (Dr. Tenma), Charlize Theron ('Our Friends' Narrator Voice), Samuel L. Jackson (Zog) and other big names as well. In the story which takes place in the futuristic Metro City Asto Boy is a robot created by a scientist and this Astro Boy is created to be just like this scientist's son after his son's passing. I was not too crazy about this film, I just thought the story was kind of gloomy in a way like the AI movie was and that it was a bit like watching a video game for an hour and a half, which at times seemed perhaps a tad predictable. I mean the film certainly held my attention and I would bet most kids would think it was neat as it involves a hero, but I think I have seen better animation movies out there. So to make myself a little more understandable here in one whole sentence, I think the movie was okay because the animation scenes were entertaining but I am not sure if the story will totally knock your socks off.

This version of Charles Dickens classic was directed by Robert Zemeckis and I am sure you have heard something about the story, so I will keep the plot short here. Scrooge a miser of a sort is visited by several mysterious beings that know a little more about the notion of Christmas then he does. The voices in the movie were Jim Carrey (Scrooge, Ghost of the Past, Present and Yet to Come), Gary Oldman (Tiny Tim, Marley, Bob Cratchit), Robin Wright Penn (Fan/Belle) and others. Well I definitely think that the story of A Christmas Carol is a good one and right up there with A Wonderful Life as far as Christmas movies go for me. This Christmas Carol was interesting being an animation and on that note it was also actually a family, fantasy, drama and a bit suspenseful at times; although I have to say it can sometimes be kind of hard seeing Jim Carry not in a funny role. I was kind of waiting in a way for the Scrooge character to somehow say "toss the salt shaker over your shoulder" or "alrighty then", but no this movie like the real story was suppose to be as far as I have heard, pretty much dramatic or suspenseful in away. So to wrap this up here I just want to say the movie was descent, but in my opinion not really any much better then other Christmas Carol movies made yet; and to be honest believe it or not The Muppet's Christmas Carol movie I had found the most entertaining to date and really awesome actually, as it was chocked full of being musical, suspenseful, funny and fun. Whatever the case though I hope you enjoy this new Christmas Carol if you go see it because although it was not my favorite of them it is still a legendary story that I think is worth retelling and it seemed a not to bad Christmas Carol movie to boot.

This movie of course based on the famous book was directed by Spike Jonze and stars Max Records (Max), Pepita Emmerichs (Claire), Catherine Keener (Mom) and others. The movie is an adventure, drama, fantasy, family film and an adaptation of Maurice Sendak's children's book about a boy who is misbehaving and runs off to a place away from home and meets some almost monster like looking creatures of a sort upon this adventure. I found that like the book this movie is one of those things that will get jammed in my noggin because it is quite eccentric. Being a psychology major I think it is kind of an interesting look into some of the crazy stuff young boys might do and actually this book was even mentioned in the famous psych book called "Raising Cain". So um yeah for a story turned to a movie that was once only just a few lines in a book I think this movie was adapted nicely and interesting if you are in a mood to take a journey to another world and really let your imagine drift out out there into a wildness of creation.

Zombieland is a comedy, horror directed by Ruben Fleischer starring Jessie Eisenberg (Columbus), Woody Harrelson (Tallahassee), Emma Stone (Wichita) and others. The movie is essentially about the people chasing you around and cheap skating you by sending you way to many bills, no just kidding a bit there. Actually the plot is quite simple and funny, the world has been overrun by zombies, but yet two men have found their ways of survival among them. Well this was not the most intelligent movie I have ever seen, but what do you expect to be the product of a bunch of zombies. As far as zombie movies go though I thought it was clever and would recommend it if you are looking for a steady balance of comedy and horror in a suspense movie. I also have to say that I think the hilarious Bill Murray scene alone is probably worth it for the ticket. So this movie seems like a descent pick, although for myself I believe to be officially into zombie mode for a movie you always pretty much got to be ready for you know surefire scenes of intense suspense and those wild and crazy scenes of action.

The movie is about Flint a fellow who is great with inventions and he develops a machine that makes the clouds rain things like spaghetti and meatball and Las Vegas style buffets. I thought the film was creative, funny and a nice little story if your in a imaginative mood for animation, cartoon type of stuff. It may not win all the movie awards out there because I think that might be a little harder for animation movies, but I really enjoyed the creative wit in this movie as much as any other pixar, animation thing and would like everyone to know it I think it is el dente to watch.

This movie directed by Stephen Sommers, stars Joseph Gordon Levitt (The Doctor/Rex Lewis), Dennis Quaid (General Hawk), Marlon Wayans (Ripcord) and others. The movie is about a special operations force known as G.I. Joe who are taking on an evil arms dealer along with a team of advanced bad dudes, evildoers, you know really very much the axis of evil as perhaps even how the former President George Bush would call it. But anyhow this movie did really hit the spot for me at the time as I was in search of some crazy fictional stuff on the big screen. However I can't say that I really felt like I wanted to recall much of it somehow after leaving the theater. It also seemed rather predictable at times kind of like a Rambo movie or something along those lines, however there was some matters related to some characters that are more hard to figure out until later on and when the story goes back in time. I think of all the movies it reminded me of I would have to say the movie The Rock would be the closest one. So to keep it more short and simple though I will just add that I think to really appreciate this movie you might just want to be in the mood for a Marvel movie, combined with a Rambo type movie and science fiction like war movie. So yeah in other words I liked it fine enough, but I think that might just have been because I had not seen a full blown action movie in a while.

District 9 an action, sci fi, drama, thriller was directed by Neill Blomkamp and stars Sharlto Copley (Wikus Van De Merwe), Jason Cope (UKNR Chief Correspondent), Nathalie Boltt (Sociologist) and others. The movie is about a spaceship and extraterrestrials stranded on earth and forced to live in low class like conditions in District 9 and as matters come about Wikus Van De Merwe finds himself more entangled in the issues of the extraterrestrials and more concerned about the human activity in District 9. This movie caught my attention right away in previews because it seemed to stand apart from typical sci fi extraterrestrial Hollywood films where the aliens come down like Captain Insano and are bent on the destruction of the world. Here the aliens are more like living beings that have needs to be met like animals or humans, so that made it a more dynamic and interesting story for me. Anyhow I can't really say anything bad for me about this movie because the story developed and kept my curiosity filled meanwhile and it did a good job trying to make this sci fi story seem possible. So yeah I would surely recommend this movie I saw it twice and enjoyed it both times, however to be on the safe side as a blogger, analyst, technical opinion, level 4 movie dude what have you I will just add that of course though you want to make sure to be in the mood to handle some science fiction flavor with less romance or what not.

Land of the lost is a sci fi, adventure, comedy starring Will Ferrell (Dr. Rick Marshall), Anna Friel (Holly Cantrell), Danny McBride (Will Stanton) and others. The story line is that Dr. Marshall, Holly and Will are sucked in a time vortex and are transported into the Land of Lost, a place filled with the likes of dinosaurs and other unique characters. I think for me this might have been the funniest Will Ferrell movie yet. And on a side note I think if anyone asks me randomly how I would go about surviving on a entirely remote island I think I would now say perhaps by having Will Ferrell act like the hilarious somewhat pinhead character like Dr. Marshall with me somehow. And also what I might eat possibly would be Cha-Ka on this remote island, but you will have to see the movie to get that joke. Okay enough joking around and back to what I get paid the big bucks for now. So I think I can summarize this movie here in a few lines. I just thought the movie was funny, non-dull, had cool scenes and effects so I don't think you could go to wrong if you pick this great comedy in theaters.

Terminator Salvation

This most recently made Terminator movie was produced by McG and stars Christian Bale (John Connor), Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright), Helena Bonham Carter (Dr. Serena Korgan) and others. So this most recent action, adventure, sci fi thriller Terminator picture is all about John Connor leading the revolt against the machines bent on destruction of pretty much everything that is not a machine of their own. Well the movie was certainly not a cheery film and was quite intense to watch from time to time, but it was still a roller coaster type movie for me that I enjoyed because of some of the thrilling aspects of the machine action, adventure scenes. I think the characters had interesting roles that came together well in fulfilling the action, adventure in this dramatic plot. I also think some of the special effects in this Terminator were way better then the one made in 1984 originally, which of course makes sense seeing I am sure movie effects have surely changed a bit over 25 years since then. In other words to keep it more sweet and simple here I will just say that the thrilling aspects of the movie and the special effects had made this dark movie keep me on the edge of my seat and worth just enough seeing as it was something with a little less dullness in theaters lately for me. Oh and woops one last last note here, I wonder if they would ever think of making a DVD bonus feature of the equally intense as all the Terminator movies in itself Christian Bale on Set Ranting YouTube clip towards the Director of Photography. Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen

This second action, adventure, sci fi movie in the Michael Bay directed movie series stars Shia LaBeouf (Sam Witwicky), Megan Fox (Mikaela Banes), John Turturro (Agent Simmons) and others. In this sequel movie Decepticon forces come to Earth to take Sam Witwicky prison as he is a person who knows a lot about the ancient origins of the transformers. Well I thought the special effects were dazzling again and there was some humorous moments like before, which I think is a nice element in an intense action movie. I think the previous Transformers actually might have been a little more exciting then the second for me because of seeing a movie with these exact types of action special effects for the first time. At some points I sometimes wondered if the movie was laying on the heroism moments a little to thick, but nevertheless there was a nice amount of an action story from all directions. But anyhow enough with my random tidbits and to summarize I will just say I think there are plenty of reasons to give this movie two thumbs up like the fact that I hear some are predicting a Transformers 3 once this movie is out of the box office. So it was a good movie, I am looking forward to the third and on a side note this is completely not yet the story of my life since I will be buying a new car this week and should really take a look at the clunkers for cash program.

Funny People

This movie is directed by Judd Apatow and it stars Adam Sandler (George Simmons), Seth Rogen (Ira Wright), Leslie Mann (Laura) and others. Well the movie is actually about people trying to be funny, kidding because if I had no idea of that matter you could report me to the Movie Blogging Commission if their was such a thing. Anyhow this movie seemed to have a highly expanding plot into drama related issues for a while and the movies plot was about George Simmons finding out he has a life threatening illness. Simmons chooses to take under his wing a new to the big times comedy writer (Wright) to help him with his stand up work. Well I have to say although the actors in the movie are generally a riot however this movie seemed a bit misleading for me. This was because it was really just more dramatic then humorous in a lot of ways. So the title alone seemed a little misleading, but it was also highly trashy so much that I saw ten people walk out. It seemed to me lightly funny from time to time watching the inside life of the big shot comedian George Simmons, but it also seemed without much of a captivating plot because the drama almost seemed fictitious for people that live like rich famous successful superstars. So perhaps next time I am out to see a comedy I will attempt to see something with less drama attached and perhaps just more slapstick.

48 hour Film Project

The 48 Hour Film Project is a movie type festival I attended this week in Concord NH. I saw around ten short films that were shot in 48 hours according to the website and each movie also had similar catch phrases and props as according to the rules of the contest. From reading the 48 Hour Film Project website it looks like they are now holding this type of film festival contest annually and world wide. I found great humor among other things as well in pretty much all of the films, especially the winning film called Stalling. Stalling was about an assassin and regular Joe who are comically both dim witted and oblivious to the seriousness of the situation by making light of what was about to happen in the victims apartment, which made it quite hysterical at times in a somewhat dark comical way. So I just wanted to say here I saw a lot of talent in this big film project festival watching movies of romance, drama, action and comedy and I think also it looks like it would be a good opportunity for people to get more involved in filmmaking. According to the website there is a fee to show your video in the contest but there is also prizes and certificates for winning movies. And hey my friends who won best acting had a certificate that in a way looked surely more cool then the cheesy MTV popcorn award. No just kidding because I think the popcorn award trophy is actually pretty cool.
